This week we're bringing you a story about the Buckman family and the many branches of its tree. Patriarch, Frank (Jason Robards) whos barely watched his family grow is now watching the trails of his children. Eldest son Gil (Steve Martin) is having a hard time at work and is trying his best to raise his 3 (for now) kids with his wife, Karen (Mary Steenburgen). Eldest daughter Helen (Dianne Wiest) is raising her kids alone, Julie (Martha Plimpton) is running around with her loser boyfriend, Tod and Garry (Joaquin "Leaf" Phoenix) is struggling through puberty and missing the guidance from his absent father. Middle child Susan (Harley Jane Kozak) is trying to raise her daughter normally but her husband, Nathan (Rick Moranis) is trying to turn her into a baby genius and is neglecting their marriage. All of the elder kids problems are nothing compared to youngest child, Larry (Tom Hulce) he's turned up again with a young son named Cool and gamblers are going to kill him if dear old dad doesn't save him. It's the job that never ever ends, it's Parenthood, this week on Doom Generation.
