PRIE Proclamation!
Aren’t We All Working Together?
“Are you working together, with all the other similar activist groups?” It’s a common phrase we often hear amongst groups large and small. Why wouldn’t we want to work together? We don’t dare say, “no.”
The challenge to this question is multifaceted.
What does “working together mean? Does it mean we agree with everything other groups do, just to get along? Does it mean we don’t take exception to some opinions about policy we disagree with, so as not to appear confrontational? Does it mean we do or don’t “like” some groups, or individuals in them? And if we disagree on some things, is that divisive? Who has the last say about your organization?
In a climate where so many folks are joining the “movement” it is incumbent on all of us to understand and practice simple guidelines when interacting with likeminded groups. Just as you would when joining a a business association, it is vital for all involved to practice the Golden Rule showing respect and common curtesy...
We encourage others to access our information, however in the spirit of respect and cooperation, ask unaffiliated groups to ask permission and give credit where credit is due...
PRIE works with many other groups nationwide, and we share mutual respect, and cooperation.

Have you been following the events in Newberg Oregon School District?
We have an exciting announcement! The Recall Failed! Board President, Dave Brown, and Vice President, Brian Shannon, both pro parents’ rights were successful in defending their seats on the board AND the banner policy requiring only the US and state flags be on permanent display.
Here’s the rundown. Last spring the Newberg parents gained a majority on the school board with the election of two pro parents’ rights candidates, Renee Powell and Trevor DeHart.
They elected a new Board President, Dave Brown, and Vice President, Brian Shannon, both pro parents’ rights.
PRIE learned of a gay couple residing in Yamhill County who were willing to speak out in support of the board members under attack. We had to work fast to set up, produce and publish the interview.
We sent out a Press release and shared on Social Media and in a News Update.
Listen to the interview.

January 18th: Recall Election to remove Dave Brown and Brian Shannon, two good school board members on the NEWBERG Board
This vote has huge implications not only for Oregon, but for school districts across the nation.
Newberg is at the Center of What is Happening Statewide
There is an effort to radicalize, sexualize, and recruit our children by a socialist, progressive movement
YAMHILL COUNTY, OREGON:
As reported by the Northwest Observer, "since March 13, 2017, Indivisible.org has set their eyes on taking over public schools in western Oregon. They began by publishing a handbook, Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda. The book advocates for using paper terrorism tactics to harass politicians and private companies into supporting far left “progressive” causes, such as Critical race theory."
PRIE reported on the political chaos perpetrated on the Newberg school board when they passed a banner policy requiring only the US and state flags be on permanent display.
It is now evident that Indivisible.org, who formed local chapters across the state, including Yamhill county, is behind the completely inappropriate response to the policy. The local group, Progressive Yamhill is behind the recall of two Newberg School Board members, Dave Brown and Brian Shannon.
The Media Coordinator for the group in defense of the board members, Say NO to the Recalls Campaign, says “these progressive organizations are sending their people into small-town America, to flip the underbelly of our communities upside down. They are taking over all local committee seats, elected seats, school board seats...The Newberg School Board is being harassed, threatened and sued while the campaign to oust these conservative members is funded with out-of-state progressive Hollywood money funding the recall cause.”
Indivisible.org is aiming at more than the school board. In January 2019 Casey Kulla was elected Yamhill County Commissioner and recently announced his candidacy for Governor. In cooperation with Progressive Yamhill members, Kulla introduced a motion for Yamhill County to adopt an “inclusivity resolution” with the goal of implementing Critical Race Theory employee training to the County departments.
According to the Observer, "Dave Brown and Brian Shannon have received death threats,...and are facing multiple lawsuits."
It's no stretch to claim student graduation rates decline, and parents are removing their children to protect them from radical political promotion.
In addition, since the Superintendent was terminated for refusing to implement the new banner policy, his assistant and board administrator resigned in solidarity. The Newberg school district is in trouble, and for what? Obviously, Indivisible.org will stop at nothing to take control, even destroy K-12 public schools!
The Yamhill Advocate now has evidence that the Oregon Education Association, the largest teacher union in Oregon, is also using its membership to influence the recall election.
This email from Oregon Education Association to all of its members was leaked to the Yamhill Advocate. It that clearly shows they are using their membership to organize people to go door to door, asking them to vote yes on the recall.
It is illegal under Oregon law for teachers to engage in political activity and endorse political campaigns while in the workplace.

IS EQUITY the FOCUS OF SEX ED?
It is starkly obvious to PRIE the focus is not "teen pregnancy," any longer. Wait! Isn't EQUITY only taught in relation to Racism? NO...EQUITY is pervasive in every subject now taught in public schools. For that reason, EQUITY is not a subject, but a pedagogy.
(Pedagogy is defined as the method, and practice, of teaching. It encompasses the way teachers deliver the content of the curriculum to a class.)
School curriculums are saturated with political "Days, Weeks, and Months," devoted to alternative lifestyles, and driven by extreme political organizations, not parents. Organizations, are highly invested in the promotion of their agendas, working with state agencies and organizations to ensure their interests are not squelched by your local districts! Are parents presented with these reference materials and frequent "celebrations," for their input and permission?
While these non-academic programs are enthusiastically promoted, academic performance is pitifully poor and unacceptable. Whether you have children or not, everyone should be demanding our nation's schools get back to teaching skills needed for success in life!
Oregon is THE premier state whose department of education is fully invested in far left ideologies and pedagogy. Watch out! Your state is not far behind. What is your child told, and shown?

November, Parents' Right in Education Month! Proclamation and Instructions Here!
November 5, 2021
Dearest colleagues,
Each month offers us opportunities to build allyship and support for all students, through K-12 comprehensive sexuality education. In the last month, we’ve celebrated International Pronouns Day (October 20), Intersex Awareness Day (October 26), and Ace Week (Oct 24-30). In the coming month, we want to build allyship and support for LGBTQ+ Youth during Solidarity Week (Nov 1-5th) and Transgender Awareness Week (Nov 13-19) leading up to Transgender Day of Remembrance TDOR (Nov 20) as well as honoring Native American Heritage Month. Each of these markers in time asks us to hold space for the sorrows and joys of students with system-impacted identities past and present, while reinforcing our commitment to

BROYLES SUMMIT PRESENTATION
CHILD & PARENTAL RIGHTS CAMPAIGN
GLSEN Confidentiality POLICY
November 2, 2021
Concealing from Parents Children’s Trans-identification at School
Lawsuit filed in Federal District Court in Florida on behalf of the Littlejohn family against the Leon County School Board for disregarding their parental rights by deliberately concealing from them when their child expressed a desire to change her gender at school.
Last year the Littlejohns told a teacher their 13-year-old daughter was experiencing some gender confusion, that they were getting her counseling, and that they had not consented to her changing her name or pronouns.
Soon after, when they picked her up from school they learned that a number of school staff had met with their daughter and asked her such questions as what bathroom she wanted to use and what sex she wanted to room with on overnight trips.
Mrs. Littlejohn contacted school officials about the meeting and was told that she could not be given any information regarding the meeting and that “by law” their daughter (at age 13) has to be the one to authorize her parents’ attendance. They further claimed that the daughter was “protected under a non-discrimination law that did not include parental notification or input.”
School officials had secretly developed with their daughter a “Transgender/Non-Conforming Student Support Plan” for moving forward against the parent’s wishes. This document indicated that their child was “comfortable” rooming overnight with either boys or girls, meaning their 13-year-old daughter could be sleeping with teenage boys on school field trips. What is more, it said that her parents were not to be notified.
It also stated that school staff were to use a new name and “they/them” when referring to the Littlejohns’ daughter at school, but to use her given name and “she/her” when talking to her parents, intentionally deceiving the parents concerning what was going on at school.
School officials gave the Littlejohns a copy of the district’s “LCS Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Gender Nonconforming and Questioning Support Guide.” The Guide claims that “under federal and state law”: 1) parents are not to be informed when their children announce that they identify as transgender; 2) children who express gender confusion are permitted to choose which restroom they will use and that parents will not be notified of such decisions by their own children; and 3) children have a legally protected right to keep from their parents information regarding their gender identity and steps taken by the district to affirm that identity.
Guide’s Frequently Asked Questions:
"Q: A student has exhibited behavior in school leading administrators or teachers to believe the student is LGBTQ+. Should the parents or legal guardians be notified?
A: No. Outing a student, especially to parents, can be very dangerous to the student’s health and well-being. Some students are not able to be out at home because their parents are unaccepting of LGBTQ+ people. As many as 40% of homeless youth are LGBTQ+, many of whom have been rejected by their families for being LGBTQ+. Outing students to their parents can literally make them homeless."

"On Wednesday night I made an attempt to bring an olive branch to our superintendent and the Chair of Salem Keizer School Board. At the August 10th school board meeting, I was grossly verbally assaulted in a very racial and disgusting attack for being Mexican American. I sent multiple emails to the superintendent, board directors involved and heard no response. It wasn’t until I threatened a formal complaint did I get taken seriously.
My husband, myself and my 3 children met with these two at the district office. I explained my complaint and my concerns about the increasing violence by youth at our board meetings. I was dismissed by the Chair who became defensive at the very sight of my white husband. He sat taking notes of everything I said so that he could dismiss and negate my experience, while accusing me and other parents of doing the same. He claimed to have no relationship with the youth who have hijacked school board meetings, threatened and harassed parents, including my 7 year old daughter. For her safety I took her out of public school. These same youth have gone as far as to harass Director Bethelle at her residence, label three board members as white supremacists and then make calls on their social media to Antifa affiliated groups to come and disrupt board meetings. Several local businesses including The Freckled Bee, and Push Fitness Salem, have also made public statements calling for activists to disrupt meetings and push parents out of the building.
I’m trying to bring awareness to the gross and defiant behavior of our schools young people, the complete disrespect of parents, and the dangerous agenda being pushed by our board Chair.
After an hour long conversation, no apologies were given by the Chair. As we walked away from the meeting he aggressively suggested in front of our 3 children, that we were privileged and needed to read the book “White Fragility.” I am not white, I am a person of color and a mother of a special education student. The Chair did not have a problem with these young people and their organization calling me a “white supremacist.”
This is how people of color are treated by our district when they don’t agree with their narrative. We are called derogatory and offensive names, defamed all over the internet, and our families safety is threatened. All for speaking up. To think this all started because I was concerned about my sons ability to breath in a mask all day.
If you have a student in Salem Keizer schools, please consider attending our board meetings to see for yourself what our district leaders are wasting our children’s time on."

NSBA Letter to President Biden, Wednesday, September 29
AG Merrick Garland called for DOJ, to Investigate, Monday, October 4
Letter from Civil Rights Commission: to Merrick Garland, Friday, October 15

Apology Letter from NSBA:
As you all know, there has been extensive media and other attention recently around our letter to President Biden regarding threats and acts of violence against school board members. We wanted to write to you directly to address the matter.
On behalf of NSBA, we regret and apologize for the letter. To be clear, the safety of school board members, other public school officials and educators, and students is our top priority, and there remains important work to be done on this issue. However, there was no justification for some of the language included in the letter. We should have had a better process in place to allow for consultation on communication of this significance. We apologize also for the strain and stress this situation has caused you and your organizations.
As we’ve reiterated since the letter was sent, we deeply value not only the work of local school boards that make important contributions within our communities, but also the voices of parents, who should and must continue to be heard when it comes to decisions about their children’s education, health, and safety.
We are going to do better going forward. We are engaged in a formal review of our processes and procedures. We will announce specific improvements soon to ensure there is improved coordination and consultation among our staff, our board, and our members across the country. The review will include not only the proceedings leading to the letter, but also other related concerns raised by members even before the letter was sent.
We will have more to share with you soon as our review continues. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thank you.

We support the proper role of K-12 academic education, focused on core skills, and preparing students for success. We reject controversial sexualization and racist doctrine.
We reject current practice by public school staff facilitating mental health counseling, medical treatment and procedures without parent knowledge, circumventing the relationship between parents and children.
We are here to provide parents tools, so they can stand against those stealing their rights. Stand with us!
