David Bennett is friends with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) and works as a fellow at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics in the UK. David just finished his Masters degree under the academic advisement of NT Wright, and he is now a PhD student at Oxford.
David was raised in an agnostic home in Sydney, Australia. Believing he was disqualified from the love of God because of his sexuality, he saw Christianity as an enemy of freedom for LGBTQI people. Early experiences with prejudice and homophobia stirred his desire to become an anti-Christian gay activist and to look elsewhere for significance. Then Jesus came into his life in a highly unexpected way, leading him down a path he never would have imagined or predicted.
David's new book will be released in November. The title says it all: "A War of Loves: The Unexpected Story of a Gay Activist Discovering Jesus." To find out more about David, his book, and his passionate commitment to the Way of Jesus, please visit www.awarofloves.com.
