To live well hangs on the book's final words - to fear God and obey His commands. Therefore, our great challenge is to "remember the Creator" now, while there are still days ahead of us.

Isaiah 40. Ps Jim Elliott (Campbelltown Presbyterian Church) shares a timely word from Isaiah 40 about the power and deep need of providing comfort. Isaiah wrote to a people under the heel of the Assyrian Empire, and they needed to know God was able, and on their side. In the same way, we desperately need to see God's power, and that our redeeming God is for us - so much more than we could imagine.

Returning to our Broken series, Ps Hilary Williams kicks off the second half by looking at Ecclesiastes 7. Until now we've seen that so much of our lives are lived wastefully, but we see a change in tone in this chapter. In light of what meaningless pursuits we tend to chase in our brief lives, the Teacher implores us to life wisely. It is God-given wisdom that will equip us to live lives with proper perspective - and thus, make godly choices.

Ps Hilary Williams continues our Broken series looking at Ecclesiastes 8. As humans, the allure of wisdom and power can be too strong to resist. We make the mistake of believing we can control life. However, the Teacher reminds us that earthly power is temporary, twisted and finite. We are implored to use wisdom in how we approach those that wield earthly power, as well as look upward and see God's true power.

On Resurrection Sunday, Ps Hilary Williams leads us through three different scriptures as we reflect on the risen Christ. Ecclesiastes 9 gives us a very human perspective- that we ought to live well here and now. On the other hand, Paul assures is in 1 Corinthians 15 that all we are and all we have hinges on the resurrection. This message ends in John 11, with the eternal hope that Jesus won for us. This also poses a challenge for us, to live our lives here in the light of Jesus being the resurrection and the life.
