"What if it's not the most wonderful time of the year?" Ps Hilary Williams opens our Advent series looking at the hope that Jesus' coming has brought. Just as in our day, the world Jesus came to was broken, darkened and in need of rescue. The good news of Christmas is that Jesus, our Immanuel (God with us) ultimately leads us to His death and resurrection. Even when life is hard, our great joy - hope in Christ - is both unshaking and unending.

1 Chronicles 16:8-27. Anoj Joseph looks at David's words to his people as the Ark of the Covenant returns. Interwoven in this address is God's heart for all peoples to know Him. However, this context of praise tells us something important about mission - sharing Jesus is grounded in the joy of who He is and all He has done. Not only that, but it is only by us knowing that joy ourselves that will help us bear fruit in mission.

Luke 24:45-53. Ps Louis Baron continues our Be Different series looking at Jesus' closing words in Luke's gospel. While being God's witnesses involves activity, we forget that the act of witness is birthed from our identity as God's witnesses. Thus, to share Jesus effectively, we must first identify as messengers of the gospel. The good news is that it is God who saves - we simply must faithfully point people to Him.

Matt 25:31-46. Ps Hilary Williams continues our new series looking at kindness. We have a tendency to laud the most famous as making the greatest difference in this world. However, we often overlook kindness and how it impacts others. Not only is kindness part of what we do as His sheep, but we forget that ministry to others is, in truth, ministry to Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:11-21. Ps Hilary Williams kicks off our new series building on the previous one, in terms of how we engage with our culture. While historically we have seen many diverging church priorities and methods, our mandate is less about enforcing morality and more about invitation to know the Messiah. Much of this message is focused on how we, as Christ's ambassadors, lovingly and faithfully represent Him in this world.
