No longer is He the distant God, He is Father and we are accepted as children. This is the heart of our inheritance from God which we did nothing to gain, our life's response is to receive by grace and embrace all He has for us.

Luke 15:11-32. Anoj Joseph continues our Adopted series looking at the story of the Prodigal Son. We clearly see that the younger son has done practically everything to reject the father - but we miss the fact that the elder son is equally headstrong, equally lost, and equally needing love. All of us live as one son or the other. However, the good news is that God extends restitution and love beyond degree to all of us.

Ps Hilary Williams kicks off our Adopted series considering what adoption truly means for us. Whereas we are justified legally through Christ, adoption goes one further - speaking of relationship. We are not treated like step children, rather, through Christ we are brought into the family and loved and honoured as Jesus is. Adoption provides the platform upon which all of our Christian lives are built.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-28. Ps Hilary Williams concludes our Growing In series looking at Paul's closing comments to the Thessalonians. The apostle's call to service is counter cultural, and turns the way we naturally see community - and sometimes, ministry - on its head. We are called to live in such a way that we serve one another, and love each other deeply. In a fitting close to our series, we realise that this expression of church life is both supernatural, and magnetic to the world.
