In this tag team sermon, Kate Dundas starts us with hope. While the world sees hope as fleeting, or confidence in ourselves - Biblical hope says we have hope because of faith in the Faithful One. This changes all we look forward to. Following on, Michael Griffith shares about coming to Christ as a child. Jesus reminds us that coming to Him does not take pride and attempted perfection, but humble trust - just like a child.

Luke 2:8-20. Ps Chrisitian Kahnt finishes our Advent series by looking at the song of the angels. On that first Christmas night, good news and great joy comes to the shepherds in Bethlehem. Christmas is somewhat offensive to the sinful heart as it reminds us that we desperately need a Saviour. However the coming of Christ has brought us peace with God - and in doing so, our rescued souls bring "glory to God in the highest".

Luke 1:67-79. Ps Hilary Williams continues our Advent series by looking at the song of Zechariah. The birth of John The Baptist - to prepare the way for the coming Christ - is met with Zechariah's song of praise to close Luke 1. Zechariah sees a God who has promised hope for generations - now proving His faithfulness, even if it took years. We are the beneficiaries of God’s rescue, and we are invited to partner with Christ in His rescue plan.

Luke 1:46-55. Ps Chrisitian Kahnt continues our Advent series by looking at the song of Mary. With the coming of Jesus announced to Mary, events are set in motion for the first Christmas. We gain insight into the heart of a worshipper - Mary sings of God's faithfulness in bringing Christ to the earth. We likewise respond to Jesus with the same heart of wonder of his goodness, and anticipation that he is unchanging in his goodness to us.

Dr Jacqueline Grey begins our Christmas series by looking at the song of Isaiah. The people who lived in both spiritual darkness and earthly oppression were going to see Christ the Light. As they awaited Jesus first coming, we can approach Jesus' second Advent with similar hope and longing. This same Jesus brings the light of God to the darkness that surrounds us in our day - and has the same need of the Messiah today as those who were waiting for His coming.

Ps Hilary Williams concludes our Wonderful series by looking at the love of God. On one hand this appears to vs simple but on the other, God's love poses some challenges to our limited understanding. The way God loves us is a love that is active, wilful and without condition. As we taste the deep love of God - by the Holy Spirit's power - it should transform the way we relate to God, and to those around us.

Isaiah 6:1-8. Anoj Joseph continues our Wonderful series by looking at the holiness of God. We attempt to be morally upright in our humanity, but a mere moment in God's experience reveals God's infinitely higher holiness - and our complete lack of it. This powerful passage hints at Christ's atoning work that declares us as righteous - and both empowers and compels us to live in a manner pleasing to Him.
