Parshas Ki Tisa: Rays of Light

Parshas Ki Tisa recounts one of the most dramatic moments in the Torah: the sin of the Golden Calf, Moshe shattering the Luchos, and the revelation of the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy.

Yet the Parsha ends with a striking image. When Moshe descends from Har Sinai with the second Luchos, rays of light shine from his face. The people are afraid to approach him, yet Moshe himself does not realize the light is coming from him.
