Our Parshas begin with Moshe teaching the tribal heads many laws concerning oaths and promises.

Hashem then instructed Moshe to wage war against the country of Midian; this battle was in retaliation for the chaos they created amongst the Jewish nation.

We find out why Hashem now told Moshe the laws regarding vows and promises.

We learn the value of discipline.
