This week’s Parsha Perspective is in honor of the complete and speedy recovery of Batsheva Sarah Bas Chana, Sasson Betzalel ben Batya, Shaul Ben Berta, and Sapir Bas Ariela. 

This week’s Parsha Perspective is dedicated to the memory of Shlomo Ben Edward and Edward Ben Shaul. May their souls be uplifted and their memories a blessing.

This Friday and Shabbos are Rosh Chodesh Adar. It says in the Talmud (Taanis 29A) that when Adar comes, joy increases; may we experience such happiness during this amazing month and beyond.

Our Parsha begins with Hashem giving Moshe and the Jewish nation fifty-three new practical commandments. He gave them the laws regarding the treatment of slaves, personal injury, murder, and the requirements of a person who is a guardian of another’s property.

We find out why Hashem interrupts the flow of the Parsha to tell Moshe about an angel.

We learn who this angel is and how Hashem cherishes the Jewish nation.
