This is Part 1 of a 2-Part Interview with Harrison James.
Harrison James - From the ages of 13 to 16, he was sexually abused by his stepmother. When she eventually got pregnant with his baby, he was forced to pretend she was his sister for fear that he would get in trouble and violate their love. One day, out of the blue, he learned that his stepmother had fled Australia with his daughter to her native Philippines. Now 23, Harrison feels comfortable speaking out about being a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. He uses his story to advocate for survivors and ensure that what happened to him doesn’t happen to others.
