After years of suffering, Matt sought psychological treatment. He bravely made a report to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. He then filed a Police Report with the NSW Police about the repeated abuse he suffered as a child. 

After three years of Police investigations and legal preparation by the Public Prosecutor, the abuser pleaded guilty to all charges relating to the abuse of Matt and three other scouts from the same scout group. That former scout leader is now serving a lengthy period of imprisonment.

Matt then acted in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, seeking to hold Scouts NSW to account for their failure to protect children like him from sexual abuse while under the care of their organization.

Aziza Murphy is being stalked by her ex-boyfriend, who is threatening her life. After she broke up with him, he called her over one thousand times within 24 hours, harassed her ex-husband's family, and tried to break into her house. Armed with recorded evidence, Aziza contacted the Baltimore Police Department, pleading for them to make an arrest, but they told her since he hadn't necessarily been violent with her, they couldn't take any action. Aziza was forced to relocate and lost her job after her stalker showed up at her workplace and threatened her coworkers. She turned to social media and shared her horrific story to expose her stalker and shine a light on how the system can fail to protect women, especially women of color, from a stalker.

This horrifying set of events destroyed her bright future of success. Through experience, Uldouz realized the imbalance between technology and the current laws and how they need to be updated to protect the future of children, women & men. That’s when she decided to change the law; she contacted several senators and nonprofit organizations and created The Protect Act Bill, which Senator Mike Lee introduced. She testified at Capitol Hill and is currently an Advisor for the White House Task Force regarding Image-Based Sexual Abuse. She also started her nonprofit 501(c)3 Foundation Ra and the movement #protectmyimage to help victims of image & video-based abuse with resources like free takedown services, therapy, law enforcement, lawyers, and to know your rights, and more.
