Welcome to Part XXXVIII of our Brain Drain trilogy's finale about how to undo the damage of harmful influences and brainwashing.

It doesn't matter where you're at, just start searching and developing with God. Character flaws are there for everyone and you can't seek God and change in something you don't know about. Once you know, you can grow. Knowing the areas you need to grow in is a good thing. Brandi shares how even when you start in the wrong calling for you, God can use it for your betterment and turn the ship around no matter your age.

Know that you can and should seek God no matter the circumstances. There isn't anything that you've done or the amount of time doing it, that God can't reshape it into what it was meant to be in the first place. Don't live in misery, enjoy life.

Don't allow culture to determine your outlook or falsely shame you. Keep resisting all forms of brainwashing with the truths God gives you. Value what you do outside of perceptions. You can start brand new with God. Bring God into every situation where offense may be setting in. Having offense brings you down physically and mentally…and you end up having/being what the nay-sayers claim that you are. Learn to declare truths out loud against the lies as well.

The company that you keep impacts and influences you. Learn to choose your "friends" and interactions wisely.

Find out how God blessed Shawn and Brandi with a very helpful and functional item in their office that really brought the space to life. Someone else's issue was our solution as well as theirs. How you honor your space will then act as a source of momentum in your life. Invest in the appreciation of your resources. Choose to be a blessing yourself and bring value into who and what you interact with.

You reap what you sow…good and bad. Learn to focus on the positives in order to move forward…negative mindset holds you back. God has a purpose for everything. Ask Him for understanding and beware of warfare.

Brandi shares how she could feel a presence in her original room and how she was redeeming it by following God's leading to sort and clean it in sections. Shawn shares an experience of his own in learning to not be isolated.

Brandi revisits a material tactic that her captor used to keep him front and center in her mind, so that she would then also negate anyone else. She explains how so many things had to be culled out of her home that either belonged to her captor or that her captor bought her. Certain items had spiritual attachments…Brandi shares how they brought about demonic manifestations. After cleaning the room, they stopped…

It came down to God leading her to sorting through all of her stuff. Between donating, selling, and burning, those things were taken out. Shawn shares his own experiences of sorting things out and deleting items from his past.

Going through this kind of cleansing process also helps you understand and help others move past their unhealthy attachments. Hear how God used this process for Brandi's healing as well.

Shawn and Brandi return to Texas, then find out that it's not just to visit, but to stay… Loving your enemy appears in different ways. Once moved from Ohio, ties were severed from our host. Brainwashing also comes in many forms…that makes it that much more of an urgent need to get and/or stay centered in God. Shawn defines more into loving others. Don't be driven by others and their issues…be driven by God…and learn from your mistakes.

Brandi shares some on discernment, how she learned how to receive love in ways you haven't before, and to not give into feeling as if you're inferior. You can't base things off of emotions alone.

While in Ohio, Shawn and Brandi began to learn how to deal with the spiritual warfare of those around them and how to walk in love with enemies. Words have power…whether it be for good or for brainwashing and manipulation. They share personal examples of how they experienced it in great magnitude. Shawn and Brandi learned how to face adversaries and set boundaries. They built their standard to live by as a protective shield for their marriage.

Also, hear how their mission trip was still a success in doing what God had for us and how God rescued them from there.

Even through testing and the unpredictable, God still provides for your every need. Brandi shares how God provided for them in their wedding and their Ohio mission trip. Don't allow fear and negativity to steer your path. Shawn and Brandi share some of the ways that their stay in Ohio grew them. God kept people in their lives to help encourage and inspire them while they centered themselves in Him.

God was patient with them and began breaking off their "performance mentality" and being dependent on circumstances during this time.
