Brandi gets her stuff back from her captor, while he tries once again to manipulate her into getting back with him… But, Brandi belonged to God and He had risen her above his devilish ways.

You can't fill a God shaped hole with an earthly relationship and you shouldn't "settle" within a regular relationship either. Brandi didn't know what all had truly happened to her because of brainwashing and she didn't know how to have a relationship with God yet. Brokenness can really be exploited when you don't know what it is. Brandi tries to figure out what career would work for her, again not knowing about having a "calling." She learns that you shouldn't settle for a career either. It is important to pay heed to the passion you're drawn to.

Welcome to Part XII of our Brain Drain trilogy's finale about how to undo the damage of harmful influences and brainwashing. It's important to face your fears, but most importantly, to do so with God. Brandi knew that she needed her captor out of her life once and for all…but she had to face the fear of her captor to finally block his number and social medias as well as his friends. She addresses the transition out of hearing from him along with the missed call notification struggles, as well as why she didn't change her number. Shawn and Brandi both had a short term relationship with someone else, Brandi learned what settling looks like, and the importance of being single after any relationship is explained.

Also, hear a few ways in which settling appears in relationships, especially with a narcissist.

Both Shawn and Brandi were feeling very alone during their very intermittent communication while each of them were dealing with their own issues at hand. Brandi's captor became a phone terrorist who would continuously come up with more ways to gaslight her into submission. But, the thing was, was that the old tactics would never completely work because God freed her from it.

Fight lies with truth and repeatedly stick to what you know is right… Hear how Brandi finally stood up to her captor and didn't back down because of fear.

Welcome to Part X of our Brain Drain trilogy's finale about how to undo the damage of harmful influences and brainwashing. Within a week of the break up with her captor, Brandi texted Shawn to reconcile what happened 3 years prior. She wanted him to see and know that things had really changed and he played a big role. Shawn very prayerfully and carefully accepted the invitation to come visit her. That visit was very pivotal in that it began breaking down the barriers between them.

Both got busy with family things soon after and their communication lessened, but that wasn't the end….
