Welcome to Part XVI of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.
What if I just want to be comfortable? Why should I have to get out of my comfort zone and face my fear? And what is so important about having the right beliefs?
We all want what we want. And inversely, we don't want what we don't want. It only seems to make sense that we should try to have more of the things that we like in our life as well as less of the things that we consider unpleasant. Likewise, if we believe a certain way and hold certain views that seem to suit us, it only seems natural to continue on with them - especially if they don't seem directly harmful to anyone. However, the things we would rather avoid and the ways that we prefer to see things can be a huge vulnerability that a manipulator can use to split us wide open. Listen in and find out:
1. the very good reasons for facing fears and discomforts
2. and how beliefs can be a double edged sword - plus, how to not get cut!
(P.S.: once again, click/tap here for a good follow-up series on this topic, because our mini-series Follow Your Heart? really hits on these issues!)

Welcome to Part XV of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.
Is it really such bad thing to make decisions based on emotions? What should you do when someone "shows up" in your life that seems to have the answers to what you've been wanting and missing?
We get told a lot of things about our emotions and desires, which are most often referred to as our "heart". Some schools of thinking treat the "heart" as a weakness and as if emotions especially are nothing but a hindrance. Others believe that following our heart is the most significant thing about life as a human being. However, both of these ways of thinking leave us highly susceptible to manipulation. Listen in to this episode to learn:
1. how to stay out of being easily manipulated through your own inclinations
2. and how to protect yourself by properly taking responsibility for your own needs.
(P.S.: click/tap here for a good follow-up series on this topic, namely Follow Your Heart?, which really covers these issues)

Welcome to Part XIV of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.
Can a person be unaware that they have a bad self image? With whom should you share your trauma? Is it a bad thing to not really know what you believe?
In this episode we cover all of these questions and just how critical it is that we understand their answers. When we don't understand who we are, what has happened to us, how we see ourselves, and what we think about the world, there can be huge ramifications. Listen in to find out in detail why all of this matters so much and how you should position yourself to maintain your stability against those who would use these gaps against you.

Welcome to Part XII of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.
How do you know the difference between someone who is just being negative toward you, versus when they are offering a helpful criticism or advice that could better your life? What should you do if they are just negative?
When a person expresses something that is hard for us to hear, often our knee-jerk reaction can be to get defensive. But we also might have the habit of assuming that if someone communicates something that contradicts us or is reproving of us, they're probably right and we must be doing something wrong. Or we might even be caught in a quandary of not knowing whether we are in the former situation or the latter. In this episode, we address this issue and provide two helpful strategies with a lot of tactics for dealing with the truly negative influences. Listen in and find out:
1. a powerful strategy for sorting out helpful truth from toxic communications
2. and more ways to overcome toxicity.

Welcome to Part XI of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.
What do you do when someone voices opinions about your life that aren't helpful to your life direction or the way you see yourself? How do you deal with naysayers, especially if you have to deal with their naysaying a lot?
It can be very challenging to handle it when people are tearing you down, challenging your decisions, questioning your judgment, or attacking your dignity and self-worth – especially if this negative influence is constant in your life. Listen to this episode and find out:
1. how to posture yourself so that you are not worn down by the negative influence of others
2. the way to bring it up with those close to you so that you can reduce or stop the flow of negativity from them
3. and how to program yourself with your own positive, directional influence.

Welcome to Part X of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.
What does it mean when someone seems extremely anxious when not with another person or at least in constant communication with them? What if they never seem to be able to stick to plans they make with others because of one central influence on their life?
It can be very hard to understand why it can be so difficult to make plans with a really great person who you get along with really well, but who seems to be unable to be in the moment or as if they can't commit to anything due to some strong undertone of nervousness and/or obligation – as if they are always expected and needed elsewhere. The reality is that this behavior probably has nothing to do with them not caring enough about you and other important things in their life. It can be a sign of something more sinister at work. Listen in and learn how to identify the cause of someone's inaccessibility when they seem to be constantly "on call" to someone else.

Welcome to Part IX of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.
Does it mean something when someone swings drastically into a whole different worldview or set of values? What if they stop caring about what always mattered to them before? How do you know whether these changes are normal or perhaps a sign of something insidious at work?
From personal experience, we know what it is like to be pressured into doing things that you find a need to justify. We gave up ground on things we believed in because we were tempted, manipulated, and even outright forced to accept what was wrong. Of course there were other times in our lives that we simply rebelled and were trying to be different and discover our own way. It can be hard to know the difference especially in teens and young adults who have a tendency to go through different phases, often trying unfamiliar paths. Listen in to find out about the primary indicators of a domineering outside influence so you can know what is really going on.

Welcome to Part VIII of our sequel series about how to escape and stay free from sabotaging influences.
When someone seems to revolve their life around others who cause them pain, is there a way to speak to that issue so that you help to soothe and empower them? How do you help someone who isn't confident in their decision making?
It is difficult for a person who has become codependent to step back and realize they need to detach from toxic relationships. And when a person thinks they need someone else to tell them what to do so that they don't make the wrong choice, they need to be built up in a very intentional way that also challenges them to make their own decisions. Listen in and find out:
1. how to tactfully point out to a person that they should have better treatment than what they are getting,
2. and the best approach for helping a person who lacks self-confidence and looks to you for guidance so that they can become strong in making the right choices for their life.
