Just when you thought the Halloween season was over, Part-Time Fanboy steps forward with a treat for all comic book readers to enjoy! This week Kristian crosses the pond once again to chat with UK writer Cavan Scott about his new comic book series, Night of the Slashers! Night of the Slashers is a new limited series being published by Magma Comix and tells the horrifying tale of what happens when a group of teenagers find themselves trapped in a town where everyone becomes a slasher-like killer in the vein of Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees! Kristian chats with Cavan about his love of horror movies, why he prefers slasher movies over other kinds or horror flicks, and how he's able to keep the slasher sub-genre from getting stale when everyone in the town is a murderer!

It’s October! During the month of October Part-Time Fanboy continues its tradition of chatting about horror films during the Halloween month! Every week this month, Part-Time Fanboy welcomes some of their favorite indie comics creators to pick one of their favorite spooky movies and chat about it on the podcast!
For this All Hallow's Eve we have possibly one of the craziest bad movie picks we've ever presented on this podcast! Artist Chris Anderson (Lost Angels, Spectral,) picked the 1989 B-movie horror flick Elves...because once Halloween is over, all anyone cares about is Christmas, right?
Elves is one of the greatest terrible movies you've never heard of. Featuring secret Nazi plots, incest, and a kindly performance by Dan Haggerty's Grizzly Adams, Kristian could only describe the film as a Mike Mignola fever dream after he'd seen it! Comic creators David Accampo (Lost Angels, Spectral, The Margins) and Terry Mayo (Buddy, The Wicked Righteous, Disposable Legends) are joined by PTF regular Yvis Cannavale as they all join Kristian to rip open their X-Mas presents early to chat about one of the strangest movies ever to be talked about on this show!

Jeremy Whitley has been on the podcast several times. With books like Princeless, School For Extraterrestrial Girls, and The Dog Knight Whitley has proven himself as a writer with an ability to tap into the core of characters who have not always been represented in pop culture fiction. In his latest book, Navigating With You, Jeremy tells what Kristian considers to be his best story yet and is his favorite comic of the year so far. In NWY, two girls start at a new school and find themselves drawn to one another by their affection for a manga they both read when they were younger but is now out of print. As they search for the hard to find volumes of the comic they discover a friendship that blossoms into a romance that helps them break through barriers that both society and they themselves have set up to hold them back. Navigating With You is a charming tale filled with the meditative sweetness of Miyazaki films like My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki's Delivery Service. On this episode of the Part-Time Fanboy podcast Kristian chats with Jeremy about the inspiration behind his latest book and gushes over just how much it moved him.

Fred Van Lente is one of the best writers working in comics today. He's worked extensively for Marvel Comics through the years as well as continuing to work on his own creator owned projects. This week sees the launch of his latest book, Murder Kingdom, published by Mad Cave Studios. Murder Kingdom tells the tale of what happens when a serial killer decides to make a theme park the setting for a series of brutal murders based on Grimms' Fairy Tales. This week on the Part-Time Fanboy podcast, Kristian chats with Fred about the inspiration behind his new horror series and why he thought a place where families make magical memories was the perfect setting for his splatter-filled story!
