Often when reading or listening to two Lefties talking about political opponents is like listening to twelve year-olds talking about another early adolescent more popular than they are. They share nonsensical comments that both know are not true. The nonsense binds them together, taking on perverse meaning in their silly, little lives.
And so it is most mornings when I plug into the media to check on my Lefty counterparts. This morning I read an article so devoid of reality I had to share it with you. It’s in a Washington Post column called Today’s WorldView by Ishaan Tharoor with Sammy Westfall. In it, Tharoor interviews Jacob Heilbrunn, historical revisionist of the first order - and all around middle school mean girl.
But don’t worry. The delivery is tarted up to be quite august and intellectual. But it’s as substantive as Harvey the Rabbits fuzzy ears.
I don’t have the time or space to pick it all apart here. Like many Lefty articles, as they list myth after myth to meet their fantasies, it would take a small book to completely and factually refute. I’ll hit some of the most ridiculous points.
Right out of the gate is the episode title: Trump, Orban and the GOP’s deep obsession with foreign demagogues.
Hmmm. Biden is the MOST powerful demagogue in the world right now. What, with his Nuremburg rally in front of Independence Hall or that circus stunt SOTU on Thursday - that was top-shelf demagoguery. I had four pages (8 1/2 x 11) of shorthand notes. There couldn’t have been more than three full thoughts in the whole speech that were fact or reason-based. And I’m pretty sure the GOP isn’t obsessed with him. And Trump is only obsessed with sending him back to Wilmington.
But this is the second most common theme in Lefty propaganda, isn’t it? They USUALLY can’t form a cogent argument against people working in their own best interests, so they need to toss out labels. For the record, I doubt the average WAPO reader can define demagogue without a dictionary. Tharoor surely knows this. But it’s a snappy epithet and he backs it up with the number one label Lefties hurl around at their peril - racist.
Yeah, we’ll see that here too.
Tharoor’s first use of the term demagogue (I’m already tired of using the word here) is directed at Victor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary. He is referred to as the “bete noir” of the EU. Do you see the mean girl oozing out there?
But why is his noir so bete? Well, they are glad you asked. The point of the article is the GOP’s obsession with dictators. The implication here is that Orban is a dictator and Trump and the GOP are obsessed with him. And Jacob Heilbrunn is hawking a book, absurdly entitled America Last: The Right’s Century-Long Romance with Foreign Dictators. The premise in the title is wildly removed from reality. More about that in a minute or two.
From ALL evidence, of course, Orban is nothing of the sort. He is a duly elected Chief Executive with a clear majority in parliament. He is clear-minded in what he wishes to accomplish in office.
If there is a weakness in Hungarian politics it is that there Supreme Court is elected. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the folly in that.
But that wasn’t Orban’s idea.
The offense Orban is most guilty of is putting the interests of his citizens above that of the EU, as does Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Greece (when they have two pennies to run together) and the UK before Brexit.
BUT…stand by for the R word…his biggest snub of the EU is Orban digging in his heels against the free-flow of foreign Muslims into his country. And THIS is where the charge of racism comes in. Leave aside that fact that Islam is a religion, not a race. Leave aside that the countries sending the hoards are geographic entities. Leave aside that many pouring over the borders have declared that they are colonizing Europe to bring their backward religion to the infidel. It is the backward cultures, crime, crowding and primarily the Dark Ages version of the religion he wants to keep out of his country. Where race factors into any of those considerations, he has the guts to say he doesn’t give a shit.
And it would appear that propagandists, like the “conversants” in the WAPO article, have not gotten to the Hungarian people. They agree with Orban and rewarded him with an election. So much for demagoguery and racism and the dictator nonsense.
So here I am, about five minutes into a critique of an article it took me less time to read. I’ve barely progressed beyond the intro. That is what worries me about modern “journalism” and what people see. This is a perfect example of throwing out talking points, invective and outright falsehood (usually just strongly implied, so it can be denied later) and it washes over the busy reader, who shakes his head and worries - oh my! The GOP likes crazy dictators! That’s what rags like WAPO see as victory - the furtherance of your ignorance.
People like Tharoor know the pace of life. They know you’re skimming information. His guest, Heilbrunn hopes you’ll react to a splashy title and might even buy his book. You don’t have time to digest and thwart this kind of garbage.
But I do. It’s what I do. Always check in with the skeptic. This is especially true when breathy, agitated “liberals” are screaming “racist” or “dictator” or “do it for the children!” Always follow up with a skeptic. You will almost always find real truth there. At least you’ll have a balanced view upon which to make a more sound assessment.
There are others who fill this role nicely. But I am the most handsome, and know Ron Cori, so that makes me sort of important.
Does size matter?
In what other ways does the WAPO article toy with perception? Well, it seems Tharoor has confused political acumen with…size. Right out of the gate Tharoor tells us that Hungary is a small country, with a small population. In context it is crystal clear that he is disparaging Orban’s worldview because he’s from a small country.
Dear reader, he is saying, only people who live in large countries with HUGE populations and strong central governments can possibly understand the complexities of life. What, with all the planning and controls and regulation the MUST be maintained… Who is this uppety central European to make decisions for his own people. Thank GOD Americans and Western Europeans are so docile! And look at the size of their countries! Their Lefties must be brilliant!
Oh, but are these Lefties brilliant? Are the Europeans still so docile? More on those questions in a future article.
The “history” here is just laughable!
In an effort to CREATE the illusion of a pattern here, regarding populism, and racism and love of dictators among whom Heilbrunn calls the “right” he has made a hash of history, often making it up out of whole cloth, at least in this interview.
He says that the “right”, going back to 1920 and before were enamored with the Kaiser, and the “rising of tide of color”. Perhaps Heilbrunn might endeavor to study history before presuming to write about it.
From the Civil War through the 1960’s the greatest concern for the “rising tide of color” was among what we now call the American Left. From the KKK to Woodrow Wilson and FDR’s progressives to labor unions, the people who openly exhibited their fear and/or loathing of other races were Democrats.
Heilbrunn conflates business men with political figures and ethnic Germans, three distinct entities with different motivations as being enamored with the Kaiser. For the Germans the Kaiser may have meant something. But he didn’t mean the same thing to “conservative” politicians or businessmen. The businessmen wanted business. Pre-WWI, the racist Wilson was quietly working AGAINST the wishes of the Amercian “left” and “right” to get us into a war we didn’t REALLY need to fight.
Wilson had hegemonic international ambitions. Right or wrong, he knew if we flexed our industrial, and thereby military muscle on the European continent we (meaning he) would become the dominant power in the Western World over many nations broken by war. FDR would follow the same logic with even better results 20 years later.
And THAT boys and girls was the mind of the “Progessives” before and during WWI. THAT is why American boys died on European soil TWICE. And if you were against that, you were labeled a “Kaiser lover” or later, “pro-Hitler.” If Heilbrunn would like an example of history repeating itself in a way that caricatures the modern divide, look at what the loony Left says about ANYONE who says we need to worry more about the US than Ukraine.
Is what is happening in Ukraine right? No, of course not. But to imply that Ukraine is as important as the Southern border or fentalyl or the streets of our cities in pure nonsense.
You might want to peruse The Forgotten Man, by Amity Schlaes. The people MOST enamored with Hitler, pre-Austrian annexation, and Mussolini even as hostilities broke out between Germany and France, were the ENTIRE FDR administration. People on the Left were pronouncing the inadequacy of democracy. The term “strong man”, to the American Left at the time, was a good thing. It was a man proving that you can centrally plan a national economy and grind the citizens into submission. Klaus Schwab and his band of loony tunes, liberals to a man, are attempting to do the same things today.
When things became less clear, it would be people like Joe Kennedy and Charles Limbergh who would end up eating dirt. Good progressives, they said the quiet part out loud, while FDR was trying to throw in fully with France and England. They either didn’t get the memo, or they still thought they were supposed to still support Hitler and Mussolini - or isolationism.
While the author draws a distinction between the Right “favoring Hitler” and the Left “favoring Stalin”, history insists that it was the Left who adored both men equally. It was only DURING WWII that we were instructed to believe there was a shred of moral difference between the two men. Then after the war, Stalin was the new bad guy and Hitler was the guy who was like the American Right, ALL evidence to the contrary.
Remember, post WWII it was still Democrats who uniformly thought big government was the answer and non-white races, especially the Black race were to be kept down. It was a WWII general, and Republican president, who would author the Civil Rights Act that Johnson would finally get passed.
Johnson would say to Democrat congressmen, fighting for passage, pass this bill, “and I’ll have these niggers voting for us for the next 200 years.” So much for racism and it’s connection to “Left” and “Right”. As I said in my book, the Billy Bobs seen at Charlottesville and Skokie were throw backs from when Robert Byrd was a Klan leader and Strom Thurmond was a democrat. That the Billy Bobs followed people some of the Blue Dogs into the Republican party doesn’t tar the GOP with any sort of traditional racism or love of dictators. This is all revisionist history.
The article in question tries to make the point that Trump and Orban are kooky outliers in a world of Left-wing, political placidity. Well, there’s Giorgia Meloni in Italy, Mateusz Morawiecki of Poland, Bolsonaro of Brazil, Nayib Bukele of El Salvador, Melei of Argentina and Le Pen of France, just to name a few who are power players in world politics. They have struck a nerve in people who don’t give a shit about Left or Right. They only know common sense when they see it. They are tired of supporting a political elite class of screw ups, like the Biden, Bush, Clinton and Obama families - and all the hangers on there upon.
So far, none of these “POPULISTS” listed earlier have shown themselves to be dictators or strong men or central planners. They most assuredly are populist. That is not a political philosophy. And in the case of all these people, and Trump, and Orban, they have simply taken a common sense stand that is popular. They’re direction is for the most part the right thing for their countries.

Let’s pick up the pace.
This is a finite podcast. I have been getting detailed. But that is what’s needed if you are to dodge the damage of Lefty propaganda that dominates the information cesspool. But I will try to stick to bullet points from here on out.
Heilbrunn refers to the “Great Replacement warned about by Trump’s followers.” First he’s got the Replacement Theory, proposed originally by people like Chuck Schumer, who now say it doesn’t exist, and the Great Reset being pursued by the Davos/WEF cult and their drones throughout Western governments. The P4B is dedicated to the destruction of the latter. We have railed against the former.
The term ethno-nationalist is employed. Both men, and the people listed previously are nationalist. The “ethno” part is thrown in because Lefties like to keep the “racist” smokescreen front and center. They have no other argument.
“Today we are told ad nauseam that Ukraine is a lost cause and should simply surrender and that globalist elites are miring us in a fresh, senseless conflict.” That’s a quote from the Jacob Heilbrunn. I am sure there are people out there who feel that way. It’s the ad nauseum part that is the lie. NO politician in prominence has said, or even implied that. What you’ve heard from the GOP is don’t jerk us off about caring for Ukraine when you refuse to secure our border. Don’t lecture us about saving the West when you are inviting every diseased, unvetted, possibly criminal bozo from around the world to stroll through that gaping hole!
Another quote from Heilbrunn: "The number of Democrats who worshiped at the Stalinist altar was never more than a sliver of the party. By contrast, the conversion of the GOP en masse into Putin fanboys is definitely an unprecedented development in American political history, and Trump deserves much but not all of the credit.”
Both of those statements are outright lies. From their tours in the Potempkin villiages in the ‘20s, right up through the Truman adminstration, the vast majority of the Dems in Congress and certainly in the White House were 100% Stalin apologists - if not outright agents in his employ. Check the Venona Cables. These are the real facts. And anyone who has ever pointed this out has been called a conspiracy nut. I happily add my name to the list.
And as I point out earlier, look at how Heilbrunn labels ANYONE who shows the least doubt about the wisdom of “saving Ukraine”. They’re Putin fanboys. For the record, you can check, I have always referred to Putin as the Little Russian Jerkoff. I have been saying to anyone who would listen that Putin didn’t get the memo that the Cold War was over. No one listened. And I question the wisdom of investing too blindly in Ukraine. Ukraine too, is a nation of corrupt scumbags. The two assertions are not mutually exclusive.
There is much more to the article. I’ll leave a link to it and to books on the Venona cables along with our regular book list in the text below the audio line.
Footnotes below links.
Ann Coulter explains the utter infatuation of the Left with the Soviet Union and some of the pro-Soviet treachery that resulted.
Amity Shlaes expounds on the early Soviet fetish on the gullible Left of the 1920’s. She also reveals who “the forgotten man” is. I’ll give you a hint: If you’re not a senior government official or crony, it’s you!
The WAPO completely skewers history in the article discussed here.

And this is just one of countless cases!
I brought this forward again today because the puppet is going to give us a lot to think about tonight. Following the expose on the IRS, I’ll comment on the media chatter surrounding tonight’s State of the Circus address.
As for the IRS piece itself, you’ll see the timelessness of it just by hearing the names of people who were at the forefront of the political zoo at the time.
In teeing this up for you, I will mention one thing about the SOTU that applies to this discussion. Tonight, the puppet will speak of raising the corporate tax. This is total bullshit. It is standard Lefty sleight of hand. It means exactly nothing to you. In fact it hurts all of us.
When the tax rate is raised on corporations, the first effect is too make our companies less competitive internationally. So growth in this country is slowed.
The second thing it does is take money OUT OF YOUR POCKET! I can’t believe I have to say this again! Corporations pay little, if any taxes! This is especially true of large corporations. If the effective tax burden of a company is not completely offset by the volume of day to day business the accountants get an earful. If a company actually pays the effective rate in any given year, those acountants will be looking for new jobs without references.
So when Biden says he is going to go after greedy businessmen with new taxes, that means he’s going after you. His puppeteers know this. The companies know this. So he will be LYING to you.
87,000 reasons to reject his efforts to “save you.”
Keep in mind throughout this discussion that the IRS is still hiring 87,000 new employees. This is still the same agency that I describe in the narrative below. It is every bit the Stalinist tool it was then. It is also still being directed from behind the curtain by the same “community organizer” that controlled it then.
You’ve been told these new thugs will be going after the big fish. That’s a lie. The political whores are owned and operated by the big fish. It’s the big fish who pay them their honoraria and outright bribes are protected from scrutiny. There will be a few who don’t play the game that might be set aside for scrutiny, but by and large, the 87,000, as you’ll see in a moment, are there to stick a financial microscope up YOUR ass.
Let’s travel back to 2017.
The Internal Revenue Service of the United States, through onerous and thuggish actions, has marked itself as an unapologetic criminal enterprise.
Ever since the Obama Administration, without a blush of irony or shame, turned this organization loose on the American people for political protection, an atmosphere of criminality has come to dominate the actions of the IRS. They’ve been brutes for decades. But now they feel they have official sanction to be brutes.
For details on what happened to Mii’s Bridal and Tuxedo, CLICK HERE.
You’ve probably seen the headlines about the tuxedo and dress shop the IRS drove out of business without due process in an orgy of Left-Wing, National Socialist theatrics.
This isn’t the first time the IRS has ignored the constitution. There are rules governing the IRS itself, which clearly have no basis in civilized law. It doesn’t matter what a bunch of National Socialist liberals wrote into law. At some point (and in this case a long time ago) it becomes clear that many government pursuits run afoul of the basic protections that this very government is charged with maintaining.
If there was a single person at the IRS with an ounce of fortitude, they’d refuse to follow these mandates and blow the whistle on them.
The IRS has destroyed small businesses many times, and with the slimmest of evidence. In this case, it was the “pattern” of deposits the business was making that triggered the raid. They were making deposits that fell under a magic number.
The number is $10,000. What kind of lunacy is that? We are told – and far too many of us accept – that criminals deposit $10,000+ at a time in banks. If you make such deposits, you are marked as a criminal and should be investigated. If you deposit less than this on a regular basis, you are clearly a criminal because you are trying to hide your criminal activity by not making deposits like a criminal would! Am I alone in seeing the blatant, police state sickness here?
I can’t speak for the reader, but I am not stupid enough to swallow the clear intent of such nonsense. “Show me the man,” declared Beria, hero of the American police apparatus, “and I’ll show you the crime.”
To intentionally add insult to injury, it has been reported that the IRS punks who destroyed the lives of these business people brought children in to watch the IRS committing their felonies. This was entertainment. It was a twisted version of bring-your-child-to-work day.
What perverse conclusions were those children to draw from this experience? This is what happens, boys and girls, if you don’t blindly obey Mommy Government. Mommy Government will send a pack of losers, who could never make it in the real economy, to come and ruin you and humiliate you in front of your community.
For all we know, these two might have been avoiding taxes. But we have not the benefit of a process of REAL justice in this case. There is no process under which the citizens have been properly informed of wrongdoing. The targets of the ruination were never given a chance to defend themselves through that same, missing process.
We have only the claim by the thugs that they are owed money, based on an arbitrary magic number. With only that to go on, the punks used the threat of force to ruin this business and the people who ran it for 35 years. They are elderly. They were surely very close to retiring. Now, they are forced to confront the government as the accuser to get compensated for their losses. The government, of course, will then take the role of the accused. Those people will never see their money again.
Here’s the most egregious twist. In order to carry out the raid, the very IRS officials responsible for it made false official statements to justify it. That’s right. Even under its own already abusive and totalitarian rules, was a rule stating that there must be a waiting period between the seizure of goods and the sale of such goods. (10 days as it turns out – by no means enough to protect the rights of the accused – but it was something) The exception is that where such seized goods would be devalued by spoilage within that 10-day period then the goods could be sold immediately.
Leave aside that spoilage is still no excuse for damaging private businesses without due process. This rule governs things like the inventory of a suspect fish market or tomato stand. But the jack-booted morons who pulled off this government-sanctioned theft used that rule to sell designer gowns. They sold them at pennies on the dollar. So along with spoilage, they weren’t concerned with devaluation. The thugs devalued the goods. They were only concerned with destroying the lives of two people who dared to defend themselves against charges leveled by a government-sanctioned mafia.
It is more disgusting than a protection racket.
The flavor of this incident is even more distasteful. It addresses the corruption and gutlessness of the IRS. I once heard an IRS agent talk about who they go after. “Small money, small problems. Big money, big problems,” he said. In other words, going after people who push billions all over the globe in avoidance AND evasion is too much like work. And those folks can afford lawyers. It's easier to bulldoze as many citizens as possible, damn the actual evidence, than to go after the REAL offenders.
For more details, GO HERE.
Here is what reality is supposed look like in the United States of America:
I have a right to carry and deposit as much money as I damned well please. There is no figure that automatically marks me as a criminal. Before Uncle Sticky-fingers touches a single penny of that money, they must prove that I am involved in a specific criminal act.
I’ll go one further. If there is overwhelming evidence that my money is ill-gotten (i.e., indictment is imminent) then any property seized must be held sacrosanct until all proceedings are concluded. At that time, if I am declared not guilty, ALL of the seized assets must be immediately returned to me without contest or complaint.
In the event the conscientious government employees sell good that would truly spoil in storage, 100% of the proceeds of that sale should also be held until proceeding end. And again, if found not guilty, all that money is returned to ME!
A quick review:
* If you take something that doesn't belong to you, you've committed a crime.
* If you make false official statements to get around the law to steal something you've committed a crime.
* If you sell that which you took wrongfully, you've committed a crime.
* If you include children in the conduct of a crime, in any way, you've committed a crime.
* If more than one person planned and arranged for any of the above acts to be carried out, everyone involved can add a count of conspiracy to each count above.
The agents in this case and many similar cases should be arrested and charged as the common criminals that they are.
Reform? Yeah, Right!
There has been a lot of noise emanating from the “Swamp” about tax reform. So far, absolutely no reform had been proposed. There has been talk of modest cuts, to be nullified by tax increases elsewhere (border tax, gas tax). And even these don’t look likely to materialize soon.
But this will not be reform. The cuts will be reversed as soon as the Pelosi and Schumer take over Congress in 2018.
But real reform can be had. It can be substantial and can happen a lot sooner than you may think. But you must make certain demands.
First, congress must be made subject to the reforms. They will NEVER agree to be the authors.
Next, we ALL, Left and Right (Not the Loony Deblasio “Left” or the Directionless Trump “Right”) must get behind the Convention of States. We presently have the numbers in the state houses to make a convention occur.
But this convention must not be driven by the Bob Corkers or Jim DeMints that are currently worming their way in. Their involvement will hurt the movement more than help it. (Look at the way Dick Armey and others hijacked the Tea Party movement and turned it into an insiders’ money machine.)
This must be a movement driven by the grass roots and pushed through 34 state legislatures. And it must include REAL provisions to remove the teeth of organizations like the EPA and the IRS.
And to truly deflate the IRS, all you need is a flat tax or a point of sale tax. The strength of the IRS, and the protection offered government crony businesses, is the Byzantine tax code. Part of the Convention of States must be a slashing of the tax code. A simple code is easier to follow and easier to enforce. It will raise far more revenue and waste far fewer dollars in compliance. It is also, by its nature, more transparent.
I talk more about this in chapter 5 of Street Politics: It Ain’t Your Daddy’s GOP Anymore. Read it. Know it. Live it.
I comment frequently that average Americans, out of sheer laziness and irresponsible apathy, allow all manner of abuse to be heaped on them and fellow citizens. Well, if this incident isn’t a banner to rally under, regardless of your political persuasion, I have little faith in our future. The police state is here. The Age of Reason is under assault. It is being replaced by polarized cults blindly following “opposing” parties which are BOTH leading them in the same Orwellian direction.
Now it’s back to the present day and the pending bullshit SOTU.
I checked out the sycophant Democratic party website, NBCNews.com today. It’s cute how they are trying to convince you that the coming shitshow means anything. It doesn’t.
The State of the Union was designed to be a report, handed to Congress, in which the executive branch outlined how they were carrying out the will of Congress. It was not intended to be this Louis XIV, Chairman Mao, imbecilic applause fest with all the trappings of European royalty. It was paperwork. Tonight that wll be made more embarrassing knowing that the old bag of bones is just standing in for his boss, Barry O.
He will talk about unemployment being low. He won’t mention the non-participation rate for working age adults remains at or near an all-time high. And among the jobs added are hundred of thousands of government jobs. Make that make sense. The government isn’t doing more for you.
And oh, the bullshit number of jobs added: 15 million now. This will be the mack daddy of all the lies he’ll tell. And there will be some doozies.
He’ll talk about wages rising faster than prices. Really? In what weeks did that occur? Because going back to 2021, wages lag inflation - considerably. That’s because in the private sector, jobs added are mostly low-wage, unskilled jobs.
He’ll lie and say the Inflation Reduction Act was a real thing. It was a spending bonanza, resulting in wildly higher prices for EVERYTHING which the Fed offset by making it harder for you to buy a home. Gee! Thanks, Joe! Thanks, Democrats!
Anticipate much hate and invective hurled at POLITICAL opponents. (Putin much?) Joe will blame “MAGA extremists” for all our nation’s woes. But MAGA people of any stripe are not in power right now. He’s pretending to be president, Obama is running the executive branch and the Dems hold the Senate. So who is fucking up this country again?
He’ll criticize the GOP for not voting for a bill that would have made the gaping, diseased, criminal and drug infested border the new normal, under the law. He will call that piece of shit bill a compromise that the GOP rejected.
There will be more. You will be left wondering how they managed to keep him propped up for so long tonight. The same guy who can’t finish a thought day-to-day will stand there for a good 45 minutes to an hour and deliver a fine laundry list of lies. And that will end up being biggest talking point among the media fluffers. They’ll repeat over and over how he was vigorous and really hung in there. He’s got it all going on!
And then tomorrow he’ll be bumping into walls again. In fact, tomorrow will likely be spent resting and detoxing.

Stand by for the most ridiculous State of the Union Address in the history of the already ridiculous exercise.
From beginning to end the P4B expects the Biden speech to be a fiasco. It will be, from beginning toe end, Biden’s biggest campaign speech in this election cycle. It won’t be a statesman-like oration.
Look for lots of “ultra-MAGA” and white supremacist garbage. Look for talk of right-wing threats to democracy. Expect the old bag of bones to say how Trump has hijacked the GOP and the good Republicans can’t do anything.
Expect a cavalcade of goodies and prizes to be promised addressing every need and desire of every subset of Americans he has time to divide us up into.
Joe will brag about how he (quite illegally) forgave student debt.
He’ll say his economy will be the greatest thing since perforated toilet paper by November.
He’ll claim he’s created 14 million jobs. He hasn’t. Any growth that has occurred has been returning workers idled by the stupid Covid panic and entrepreneurs who are growing despite the Regime’s stupid policies. But…no matter. The Left will blindly applaud the nonsense.
He’ll talk about how the border is safer now than ever. He’ll call illegals “newcomers”. He’ll say they are good for the economy. That was once true. Now they are a threat to national security, especially those from China and dumps like Yemen or Uzbekistan. The illegals are 90% military age men with no allegiance to the US.
Biden’s Brownsville trip was an insult to our collective intelligence. He went to a sterilized area and prattled on with some unfortunate border guards. While he was there, Trump was at Eagle Pass where well over 500 illegals waltzed into our country.
I’m not sure he’ll tout his clean water “executive orders”. He says he’s getting plastics out of the water supply. But the way he is going about it promises to be a financial nightmare for all Americans. So that might stay under wraps.
There will probably be a nod to the trans fad. I wonder if his handlers will order him to talk about the Mengele-like “gender affirming care” on minors, which is, in reality, anything but an affirmation of the sex of a child.
To be certain the speech will be just a boatload of vote buying from all the grasping little subsets of Americans that used to be one people, living our own lives. And, of course, little of any of it will be truth-based.
I will try to sit through it to report later, but to be honest, I usually tune this event out after the second stupidly long applause interruption regardless who is giving the speech. I don’t suffer fools easily, especially corrupt, dishonest fools.

The P4B Book List
A strong P4B recommendation: The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel: Genius Power and Deception on the Eve of WWI by Douglas Brunt A real-life murder mystery.
An easy, fun read with lots of follow-ons: After Dunkirk by Lee Jackson. Part 1 of a WWII historical fiction series.
A studious and interesting study. Excellent reading. Jefferson's Godfather, the Man Behind the Man: George Wythe, Mentor to the Founding Fathers by Suzanne Munson. See Suzanne’s appearance on the P4B here.
The Winds of War by Herman Wouk This the first in a two part epic. Like After Dunkirk, it is a WWII historical fiction. But it is a much deeper dive. Very well written. You will get lost in it. I will do a complete review here later. But I’ll cut to the chase…*****

The Water Debacle in the Southwest
I’ve written articles previously about the subject at hand. A link is provided at the end of the text. That link has a very important video embedded. There may be work being done on these issues that we don’t know about, but I doubt it.
The American southwest is in a bit of a pickle. This has to do with the water supply. The Colorado River is being drained at an alarming rate. A tremendous amount of this water is being wasted on golf courses and Casinos, and poorly planned (to put it nicely) urban sprawl.
Due to an outdated and poorly crafted compact among states bearing no resemblance to those states that exist today, and through criminal neglect in your very department, predating you by decades, the southwest is creating a crisis, which as serious as it is, goes far beyond a lack of water.
It is in the national interest that we not allow the Colorado River to be drained for use in Las Vegas Casinos and Southern California Country Clubs. It is also in their interest. But parties responsible seem to lack the foresight required to cross the street, much less make the critical changes that need to made. Very strong suggestions are offered in the link provided. Act on them soon, requiring the southwestern states to go along, and we can avoid catastrophe…maybe. It’s pretty late in the game.
But failure to take action, certainly not on the scale of a moon landing, will end horribly. You know this now, if you didn’t already, so now the end of the story is entirely up to YOU, Madame Secretary.
California MUST carry the lion’s share of the solutions. It is ethically, economically and geographically correct that they do so. I’ll break it down.
Ethically: California has been unforgivably obtuse in its treatment of neighboring states versus this water situation. Through a combination of arrogance, ignorance and gutlessness, they have hidden behind an ill-conceived compact for too many decades. They have their priorities skewed to the point where no one wants to breach this subject. But this IS the most important issue they face by a considerable order of magnitude.
Economically: As compact beneficiary of the first order, California has built an economic leviathan. This is a good thing. But it also equips California with the means to have the greatest impact on what MUST be done to avoid the destruction of 1/5th of the nation’s economy and our ability to produce FOOD!
To be certain, all the signatory states will have to make financial sacrifices to stay alive. This is especially true of California. ALL spending by the state government will have to be paired back.
For just one example, spending on education will have to be brought into line with reality. K - 12 plus University spending will have to be narrowed to fundamentally academic subjects ONLY. Activities that don’t actually bring money into the schools cannot be supported by the state. That is how radically all the effected states will have to view ALL spending. And THAT is what the politicians have lacked the courage to do. They could have stepped up to the plate at any time and had an easier time of it. Now, it is going to require a real crucible in planning and spending. To kick the can down the road NOW would be a criminal offense of the first order, Madame Secretary.
It is possible that the answer can be enacted without such radical reductions in spending across the board, but if all the states involved are not prepared to go to those very lengths to fix this, they are not serious and deserve their fate.
Geographically: For a generation now, we’ve been told to fear the rising oceans. So fine, let’s start by exploiting these rising waters. The alarmism associated with the dire warnings indicate an infinite source of water to work with. And obviously, California is in a position to exploit this. They owe it to their neighbors, after decades of ignoring the problem and draining the water supply through horrible planning. This is explained in the article linked.
Potential answers to the problem are in the article. They are painfully obvious. But a modicum of guts will be required to make them happen. And the problem is clearly defined in the video. (Embedded in the P4B Substack).
If the southwest cannot get its act together on this, the economic damage will spread like a tidal wave across the country. Somebody has to be the hero. Why not you, Madame Secretary?
I respectfully request you reply re: what will be done/is being done do address this deplorable situation.
Respectfully,
Matthew E. Jordan III
