Best show so far. We discuss Trump VS NATO, the VP stakes, baseball and lots of other stuff.
Before we get to the main event, I have some house keeping and a quick hit.
Throughout this post, below the audio line, you find lots of buttons. Some are links having to do with the episode, maybe some amplification of information. You’ll also find buttons to support the P4B. Financial support is voluntary, therefore deeply gratifying and appreciated. But just as important are the share and subscribe buttons. Subscribers tell us how well we’re doing and get you all the shows as they drop. And of course, shares grow the P4B. So please, do use all the buttons and links aggressive.
She did what?
Some people were meant to be golfers. I may not be one of them. Every spring hit the driving range and links with renewed enthusiasm. Every fall I hang ’em up felling frustrated.
Equally, some people are great financial experts. Many of them share their knowledge so we might benefit and build a better future for ourselves. And then there’s Charlotte Cowles. She’s a financial columnist for The Cut.
Maybe SHE should take up golf. Because she shouldn’t be advising her cat about a field that requires due diligence.
This is the woman who over a period of 5 hours remained on the phone with all kinds of scammers, ultimately putting $50,000 in a shoe box and handing it to the scam crew.
If phone and online scams were new, I’d just call it bad luck for Cowles. But they are not. This woman obviously has very limited real world experience. She isn’t qualified to discuss critical money matters with other people.
There were a few interesting quotes to come out of the stories this woman is telling herself. First, she points out that OTHER PEOPLE had to tell her that if it wasn’t for the scammers mentioning her son she wouldn’t have gone along with the scam. That’s her words. She had moments of suspicion but that others had to say the threat to her family made her do it. She goes with that now.
She likes to remind people she has a degree from Columbia. It’s just a BA in English. Some degrees don’t endow a person with a healthy skepticism.
Cowles told Market Watch, “For every person who’s called me an idiot in public, there’s been another one emailing me in private to say that a similar thing happened to them.” These kinds of Trumpian exaggerations trouble me in any conversation. Here, she is trying extra hard to deflect criticism and say ANYONE can be duped in this way. Otherwise she must spend 24 hours a day on her computer, because tens of thousands laughed her off of X.
So with those two considerations, something about this story is a bit fishy. Was she up to something that was actually dodgy, making her an easy mark? Or is this whole thing made up or spun wider to provide a market for a book?
We may never know. But for people who know nothing of such things, a few recommendations are in order. These are ways to help you avoid being scammed.
* Always answer a text or phone call with a sense of skepticism. Always assume the person on the other end is playing you.
* Never conduct a transaction that can’t be verified by other means. Does that guy on the other end really have a brand new Mac Book for you for for only $150? But you MUST take it NOW! He might, but we all doubt that, right? And it’s not worth being cleaned out to get that great buy. Let it go.
* The police, the FBI and certainly NOT the CIA are going to call you and say you’ve been the victim of ID theft. Your credit card company will do so a lot sooner. Police are not going to warn you on the phone that they are going to raid your house unless your name is Biden. They are NOT going to tell you to give them cash. They just aren’t.
* Keep a few weeks worth of cash in a safe place. If you think you might be a victim of credit card or ID theft, freeze your accounts. Review transactions until you and the bank, or CC company are satisfied.
* Don’t open emails from untrusted sources. And if you do open an email from a stranger DON’T open any files on it. That hot Thai girl is really NOT in love with you. It makes me sick that “professionals” who have been told repeatedly NOT to do these things do it every goddamn day!
* Tell ALL charity phone contacts “send me the paperwork”. They’ll object. And they can kiss your ass. And if they don’t actually send paperwork, they’re not real. If they do, verify them with a trusted source anyway.
* If you get a call that might be a scam, report it. It rarely results in arrests, but not ALL scammers are Einsteins. You might get lucky and get the miserable pieces of shit arrested. There is a pretty sophisticated group in India doing time right now. Doing time in India doesn’t sound attractive to me.
* Do your updates. Change your PWs frequently. Get as much data and communication protection as you can afford.

The Main Event
Dinging Peter: It’s never pleasant.
As usual, when straying into electoral politics, Peter Zeihan betrayed his objective, studied self and gave us a peak at his pink panties. His take on the Trump vs NATO dust up misses the point of Trump’s plainly spoken assertions. Not because Peter lacks an eye for detail, but because when it comes to party politics, he’s as one-sided about his sources as anyone who is busy and eventually slouches to the easy stream of info.
Echoing the talking points of MSNBC, CNN, WAPO, etc., Zeihan speaks of Trump’s statements as a threat to “move away from the [European} continent”, which of course it is not. Trump’s remarks now, as they were in 2015-17, are a demand for PAYMENT. No more, no less.
Zeihan also characterizes what he calls any future withdrawal of support for ANY foriegn entities, in this case Europe, as a nationalist/populist issue where people like Trump are winning the argument for isolationism.
Zeihan disappoints the people who try to keep personalities out of the argument when he skews partisan. And that’s a shame. He has a strong, usually well-deserved following for his objective, numerical analysis of important trends. He taints that authority with remarks like his 20 February quick hit.
Let’s look as the two characterizations here.
The Money Thing.
Trump wants to move away from NATO? This simply isn’t true, and nothing he said this week supports that. When speaking of all foreign affairs, Trump LOVES the projection of power. And in all things, the Donald doesn’t “do” real nuance.
Part of the projection of power thing is seeing to it that the US is not treated as the rich, idiot friend with the nice car. Whether we’re talking about the UN, trade policy, NATO - for decades now, the US has been the target of tarrifs and shutouts and expected to keep our borders wide open for trade. Any talk of protectionism HERE is always met with cries of upsetting the balance of trade and just being mean.
The UN has been our obnoxious party guest since 1960. It got worse when we quite stupidly allowed China to sit on the Security Council. We pay the lion’s share to support an organization the spews a steady flood of insult toward us. Meanwhile, weak asses like Joe Biden encourage suborganizations like UNESCO to play mischief and censor speech in our country! For details on that insult, run entirely under the auspices of the WEF, hit this button.
Basically, we pay most of the UN’s costs so Americans can be fucked with by foreign actors and their drones inside our own governent.
When it comes to alliances, well it’s pretty much the same. It’s Friday night, all your buddies want to get drunk and cruise the strip. They use your car, rarely buy gas and you have to supply the beer.
The entirety of Trump’s attitude toward NATO has NOTHING to do with abandoning the actual organization. He likes to cruise the strip as much as anyone. He likes the popularity that comes with have a fine wheel and some money in his pocket. But he is tired, as are we of being swindled EVERY Friday. He wants ALL the NATO countries to pay their freight or get out of the car.
Now, how realistic is the threat? MMMM, not very. Germany, for example, is notorious for shortchanging the alliance. Trump is saying, not implying, if Russia were to leapfrog the remainder of Ukraine AND Poland and attack Germany, they better be paid up. But if Poland were attacked, we’ll be there. Since the leapfrog idea isn’t going to happen, NATO is safe from big mean Orange Man’s threats. So in reality, Germany and the other schlubs that ride without enough money are being shamed into ponying up a few more bucks.
It worked in Trump’s first term. Revenues among partner nations were moving up. Then old Joe showed up and member nations realized they could go back to cruising on Friday night and suckering the driver, pretending to be his friend.
It’s a question of respect and a legitimate one. They expect us to come and die for them. We are to endure criticism if we waiver for any reason. Then they don’t shoulder the agreed financial support for the endeavor? That we’ve accepted this for so long is a testament to how much of a shit OUR government really gives about us, and our young people.
So Trump, whether you like him or hate him, is trying to change that lopsided, disrespectful practice. Talk about projecting power.
The Nationalism Thing
While it is accurate to call the notion of leaving NATO, for on example, as a nationalist or populist notion, it isn’t new, and it isn’t party driven as a policy. Peter Zeihan, in his own words has pointed out that the Unidet States, through several adminsitrations in both parties has been slowly creeping away from the machine that makes ALL of our trade and alliances possible.
Since Bretton Woods, our ships have plied every ocean and almost all seas, even the Black Sea sometimes, to protect international trade - everybody’s trade. Talk about being the kid with the cool car.
Our reward for this has been no better than the lack of respect we get from some NATO countries. No better than the skinny kid in the back seat who couldn’t beat up a flower, who wants to get drunk on our beer and drag us into fist fights with other punks at the Circle K.
It’s hard to justify to congress (the issue hasn’d really trickled down to voters) to spend money on a huge Navy, including crew, fuel, food and paying for ports of call, in that environment. It hasn’t been a Right versus Left thing. It’s been a fed up versus a patient pragmatic thing. And the fed up people have been winning.
Zeihan is right, if we abandon NATO, Europe will cease to exist as we know it today. But according to Zeihan’s own writings, the Europe we know today is going away pretty fast anyway. So, what are we defending?
Defining our national interests vis a vis Europe is going to become more and more difficult anyway. NATO is good. NATO is important. The real trick will be to know when it will be no longer good or important.
To say that Trump has somehow captured this disengagement as a NEW political tool is overly simplistic. To imply the Right is the sole driver of it is disingenuous. The Right, when it does talk about “taking care of our borders first” for example, they are at least being forthright with individual nationalistic ISSUES. That does not a rule make. And the Left has been just as quick to back away from our strategic interests, but have done so quietly. Their lust is for ever inceasing domestic power. They care little for international security. They do it all with a phony Peace, Love, Bobby Sherman kind of propaganda.
But to be certain, both parties have been pulling back from the world.
Calm Down
And NONE of that is addressed in Trump’s comments. His “threat” is addressed to the weak asses in the back seat, not paying for gas and drinking way more beer than they paid for. He’s not going to push them from a moving vehicle. But he may not let some of them ride next week.

The P4B Book List
A strong P4B recommendation: The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel: Genius Power and Deception on the Eve of WWI by Douglas Brunt A real-life murder mystery.
An easy, fun read with lots of follow-ons: After Dunkirk by Lee Jackson. Part 1 of a WWII historical fiction series.
A studious and interesting study. Excellent reading. Jefferson's Godfather, the Man Behind the Man: George Wythe, Mentor to the Founding Fathers by Suzanne Munson. See Suzanne’s appearance on the P4B here.
The Winds of War by Herman Wouk This the first in a two part epic. Like After Dunkirk, it is a WWII historical fiction. But it is a much deeper dive. Very well written. You will get lost in it. I will do a complete review here later. But I’ll cut to the chase…*****

You’ve heard me talk about the the demographic, and thereby economic decline the entire planet faces right now. This was especially prevalent during my 11 POINTS series wrapped up just a few weeks ago.
In it, I said that we (The US) are uniquely equipped to weather these changes. And we will if we master the 11 POINTS. We haven’t. If we fail any one the shift from the halcyon days of smooth international trade and easy finance will be brutal, even fatal to our society, our culture and our ability to EAT!
One area I didn’t touch on in the series, although I have mentioned it repeatedly here and in my book, is our government’s profligate spending. While the changes I warn of are already occurring and we are arguing over pronoun nonsense, the devaluation of our currency is presenting the greatest danger to all of us as our ability to produce declines.
I want you to click on the link below. Look at your future. I would, with acknowledged hubris, admonish you to NOT be provincial while you watch this. Also, avoid the fallacy of rejecting the message because you don’t like the messenger. I suspect the host is unpopular with at least 40% of you. Do not give in to the fallacy because the laws of economics are as certain as gravity. They cannot be avoided, just manipulated for a time.
What happens to an aircraft when thrust cannot be provided for whatever reason?
Accordingly, what happens to an economy when its ability to produce cannot compensate for the dollars that have been printed with no underlying value?
The answer to both questions is - a crash.
Just because the country featured in the piece is smaller than ours matters not at all. It is a question of scale. At the moment, we are second only to China in our printing of money and sloshing of same to companies and individual with NO HOPE of ever producing an equal value for that money. Green scams figure critically here.
Here’s the worst part. Because of our dominant position and ability to get others to go along with us we have, since WWI anyway, been able to rally finance and productivity and supply to climb out of the pending abyss. That is no longer true.
Soon, despite the talk you hear about on-shoring and near shoring and “putting America first”, etc., when inflation goes one way and productivity goes the other, we become what is now considered a third world nation along with everyone else.
Hit the button and please, pay attention.

It’s that time again. We are well into the primaries. And you need to hear this. What you’ll do with the information is anybody’s guess. I’ve been barking at the moon about it for years. I said it in ‘16. You didn’t see it, or you didn’t share it. And we got the Ukraine phone call hoax and the Russia hoax. THOSE were the ONLY contributions Congress made. We also got insane lock-downs and the destruction of commerce we are still reeling from today, in response to a virus.
I said this more emphatically in 2020. And still, 95% of Congress, an organization with poll numbers that range from 19 - 23% got reelected. I’ll explain why in a moment.
But since 2020, our White House went into business with the cartels and threw the border wide open. We’ve had an invasion of many millions of foreigners, often diseased, often criminal gang members, mostly male adults. The White House has been permitted, by the nearly permanent governing class, to actively kill 60 to 70 THOUSAND of our fellow citizens with the drugs they are happily permitting to pour across what used to be a sovereign border.
We went from hammering out the Abraham Accords to a Mideast conflagration. We went from energy independence to begging a shit hole like Venezuela for oil, in the process propping up the scumbag, Maduro.
We have the UN, through UNESCO, with the blessing of our own government, working with and giving money to social media companies to silence ANYONE who leans right. You can still say it, but they’ll rig it so no one hears or sees it.
If you’ve been with me for a month, you know what the Davos/WEF cult is doing to you. I recommend you browse recent episodes to see that. They ARE taking your food and energy options away! They say it all themselves, nakedly, proudly! And so far, you are allowing it to happen to you.
I repeated this call in the midterms since 2016 as well. It went ignored and the decline toward serfdom continues.
If no one wants them, how do they stay around?
How do these ass hats continue to get reelected? Good question.
Legislators spend 75% of their time fund-raising - not legislating - fund- raising. More time is stolen from their job by campaigning. They suck at legislating, as we saw with that poison pill border bill this month.
But they are very good at the other two. They have it down to a science.
Incumbency relies on a few things. Primarily, it relies on your willful ignorance to what the hell your reps are doing in DC and in the Statehouse. It also relies on tribalism, false friendship and tribalism.
On the MANY recesses these people take, your representative comes home and, with great fanfare, rarely mentioning anything substantial, he takes on the mantle of celebrity. He “listens” to your concerns, then feeds you word salads. He ALWAYS tells you, in so many words, that HE is the GREAT rep. It’s all those other ass hats that ruin everything, You must send him back as a bulwark against the ass hats.
But consider the numbers, and the nation we are becoming. It’s a better than 90% chance, your guy is a world-class ass hats. In the medium to smaller districts there is also the connectivity of people to consider. Your ass hat knows your uncle. Or your boss golfs with the guy who hosts your ass hat’s town halls, or whatever. A sense of personal connection, often an illusion, is big for incumbency.
Then there is base tribalism. FAR TOO MANY of us are a part of it. Since FDR or Truman or Reagan, your town or family have been members of a political tribe. I call it that because you are now following it out of identity, not quality or policy.
It’s time to shake off the mold. You are a thinking person. You can see with your own eyes what is happening to this country. We have real trials ahead. To weather the trials we need to be strong. And you watch as the smug clan in DC continues to weaken us.
The solution? 65.
You will see here and in almost all of my posts from now until election day the number 65. That is the number of GOP seats we need in the Senate. And we need a strong majority in the House. If you are presently Dem or independent, take a breath, relax, and remember the previous paragraphs as I explain.
We don’t need these guy because they have an R after their names. Only tribal drones care about that. But right NOW, in this national and world situation, we need a certain type of philosophy.
We need the people most likely to get out of the way of REAL commerce (not the public/private bullshit).
We need people most likely to zip lock the border. We’ve gone far beyond our obligations to the rest of the world in the last decade, and certainly in the last three years! We don’t owe anyone anything. We certainly don’t owe China or Yemen or Iran ANY consideration at our border. We also need to disappoint the snowflakes and start shipping people back, starting with criminals, even minor criminals. They have no place here.
We need people most likely to put a foot in the asses of the cartels, not assisting them in raking in billions of dollars while killing us.
We need people most likely to put Iran in their place, and then get our troops OUT of places where they are doing no more than “maintaining a presence”.
I make no guarantees. I am telling you to play the odds - maturely, honestly.
But 60 is veto-proof, right?
Right. But there are always holdouts who, for their own benefit, will break with the sound policies, in favor of the popular. We always have a few who think as a Senator, for example, they represent popular notions nationally, and not their constituents at home. (AOC, the Squad, McConnell, Schiff… and on and on).
To make up for that, we need a more-than veto proof majority. We need 65.
But if you read this passively, no matter how much you may agree with me, nothing will happen. To be certain, 65 won’t. You need to share this. You need to be tacking the number 65 to all your social media. And you need to tell your followers why. “65” needs to become a code, a mantra.
To my left-leaning friends:
I have at times stood among you. I have personal beliefs that DO NOT line up with what is considered typically “conservative” in this country. And I don’t care about the labels. I am an American. That is my motivation.
I like RFK, Jr. When I come across his stuff I always listen to it end to end. There are many lessons we can learn from his candidacy. I especially like his rules of politics.
* If you give government a power, even when it is no longer needed, they will never give it up.
* If a power can be abused, government WILL absolutely abuse it.
If you doubt rule 2, look at the disfigured creature Social Security has become, then look around. You’ll find dozens of examples without the least effort.
But now is not the time for an RFK, unless he might consider a cabinet position like Commerce or HHS. Now is the time for clear-eyed, free market, America first candidates. To understand why you might want to browse my 11 Points episodes, starting with this one. You can browse all of 2023 at your leisure to see the other 11 points. Perhaps I should rerun them on social media.
I will say, for the record, if the race for the White House came down to Haley vs any other establishment Dem vs RFK - I’d vote for RFK.
So I invite my non-establishment, non-tribal liberal friends to join us for now. I realize that there will be times for more of what we call liberal pursuits in the future. This is not one of those times.

I’ve made a major life decision this week. I have a crepe myrtle in my yard. The fashion, here in Virginia, is to top (or pollard) the tree every year or two, just hack off all the growth that isn’t heavy trunk. It looks like you’ve killed the tree. But they come roaring back every year and look spectacular. Mine is a common breed. It makes a bunch of lavender colored blooms.
For all the “green” weenies, that rapid growth sucks a bunch of the CO2, devil gas, out of the atmosphere. But there will be a little less of that happening on my property from now on.
This year, I don’t know what I was doing wrong, but every limb I cut fell on my head. If I reached across and cut a limb leaning away from me, it hit me on the head. It was really annoying. And I am no linger a fan of climbing a 10 foot ladder with a chainsaw. So, from now on, I will please the myrtle purists and not top my tree anymore.
For the record, chainsaws and all the falling limbs are dangerous, I did get injured. I wounded my left arm. But I stayed calm. I climbed off the ladder, killed the chainsaw and ran to the house. Mommy put one of those little, tiny dot band-aids on it and kissed the boo boo better. I bravely went back into battle.

Be sure to get your Capitol Hill Souvenir Mug. It’s adorned with a beautiful wrap around photo of our legislative temple. It really is my favorite picture of the building. The inscription reads, “Capitol Hill, where fine architecture is wasted on a fetid sewer of corruption and greed.” Every patriot should have one.

Military “Professonals” playing tit for tat with nut bags.
I’ve said before, I don’t recall when, probably just before Trump whacked Soleimani, that pinprick retaliation against Iranian-backed entities means nothing to Iran. These groups are like psychotic boy scout troops, or low-level street gangs. They take what they want from the local population. They make big, stupid tough guy shows by launching rockets into a supply base or just into a village in a bid to be the toughest boy scouts in the neighborhood. These groups have no strategic value.
So we’ll say Iran pays The Holy Sheep Bangers of North Tal Afar to take pot shots at American targets around their area. They pop off a few rockets then go home and shout and dance until everybody gets a headache. We eventually respond by hitting their shit little enclave with unbelievably expensive missiles. We sent B-1 bombers from the middle of these United States so take part in the raid. All of what we blew up wouldn’t pay for one leg of the trip one of those aircraft made.
For all the noise and motion, we get a day or two of peace and quiet - maybe.
Iran doesn’t feel a thing. But the administration declares a major success in the fight against Iran. And Iran funnels a few more cheap weapons and some money to the group again. It is always with the message continue your holy war against the infidel for the glory of Allah - or something along those lines.
The guys back in Iran don’t give a crap about “holy war” or “glory to god” or any of that. They only care about maintaining control of the land around them on the cheap, and showing their own population they are not to be trifled with. They are making a show of pestering the superior nations who have boots and hardware in region.
My point is we will not see an end to these nuisance attacks until we a) take out a major Iranian target, like Trump did with Soleimani, or we damage a valuable tech or oil facility. Or b) we leave and let them all go to hell. Iran has to believe we will scrape a major portion of their country off the map OR we don’t give a crap what happens in the backward, Dark Ages region. But we should make it clear the boy scout troops need keep their shit local or we’ll be back and we’ll be coming in hot and we will cause the rapid going-away of things.
I doubt we have the will, in this administration to do any of that. We have a military run by feckless yes men, and WAY too many of them. We have more three and four star admirals and generals than we did in World War II with a military 1/16 the size. Full birds and stars are participation trophies for the yes men who don’t make waves. If you are a wave maker, you retire as a major in charge of a gym in Minot, North Dakota.
We also have an equally incompetent cabal running the White House. They are only capable of seeing things like Iran, Israel, Ukraine as shiny objects to distract YOU. Their whole focus is set upon more control domestically, more control of YOU. They have you looking over there while they establish, for example, laws that say your money is not you money. If an investment bank gets over extended, your account balance is their money and they can just take it and use it as they wish.
So the whole drama in the Middle East right now is more shiny object stuff. They don’t give a serious shit what Iran does, including what it does to our troops, who, BTW are sitting there doing next to nothing. They’re maintaining a presence.
If there are any effective professionals left in the CIA, perhaps we should consider Regime change in Persia. What’d’ya say, gang?
Some random thoughts about the Putin interview.
Should it have been done?
If there is the least validation really needed for Tucker Carlson interviewing Vladimir Putin, in other words doing his damn job, it can be found in Hillary Clinton’s remarks. She is THE MOST dishonest and reprehensible creature ever to stain American politics, and THAT’S SAYING SOMETHING. She is also desperately trying to cling to some thread of relevance. So when she started hurling invective at Carlson for the interview, she cemented in my mind the correctness of it.
The media industry is attacking the interview implying a lack of patriotism on Carlson’s part. They ask why he did the interview when Putin refused to talk to any other western news outlets for years! Did you catch the trap they set for themselves? We’ll see it again in a few minutes.
So, when the little Russian jerkoff was refusing interviews, were the Western outlets asking for them being unpatriotic? To be refused, one must first ask. The fact is he made them all look like monkeys. And THAT is his crime against humanity.
And yes, he got the gig because his editorial line isn’t comprised of US government talking points. He usually doesn’t draw a lot of conclusions, but he asks questions that make people uncomfortable. And that is a good thing.
About Putin
I am still analyzing the video. I listen to segments and try to digest it. But at about the halfway point, I don’t see a lot of crazy in Putin. I do see a KGB propaganda expert. I also see a man who sees the glory of Russia in its past. He clearly longs to see that glory restored.
To be sure, this is for his own edification. No one can judge if, in his own mind, he sincerely cares about Russia. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say he cares for Russia like the Czars did, presiding over millions of square miles of ego. That doesn’t mean that they didn’t love the country. They just thought it existed for their use under god’s will.
In future episodes we’ll discuss our national interests vs Putin’s ego. The picture isn’t as high def as the Regime would like you to believe.
More in a few seconds.

Comical Self-Sabotage
When the FBI concluded its sham investigation into BJ Bill’s wife, James Comey concocted a cover for his betters in the DNC. He stepped way above his pay grade and in a public statement said no prosecutor would try Hillary for her obvious crimes because she didn’t show intent to commit crimes. This, despite that she and her minions smashed several pieces of electronics, under subpoena at the moment of smashing.
This was a sham statement to create a narrative he knew the sycophant media would parrot and build upon. So BJ Bill’s wife got away again.
In the case of Joe and his documents, the real prosecutor Robert Hur stated for the record that Biden “KNOWINGLY removed documents” over the years from various places he knew he wasn’t supposed to. Hur stated this as fact. He further said the Biden “knowingly” left many of them in various, uncontrolled, often unlocked locations around three states.
So if he stopped there, you have crimes, you have a vigorous trial waiting, all based on damning evidence. BUT Hur pulled a Comey, this time not acting above pay grade. He gave Biden his get out of jail free card. Hur asserted that if he took Biden to court, Joe would be seen as a sympathetic figure, because as stated throughout the report, Old Joe isn’t in full control of his faculties.
The talking point circle jerk
When the Dems go on a talking point jag as they are here, the results are embarrassingly obvious. It’s like watching a magician put the rabbit into a hat then pull it our with great flourish.
The word of the week, issued to all news outlets and political boot lickers is “gratuitous”. They are counting on your ignorance when using the word.
A gratuitous assertion is one that is made without evidence. “I can run 100 mile per hour.” That is a gratuitous statement. It is legitimately refuted by the listener responding, “No, you can’t.” There’s nowhere to go from there.
In the case of the Biden docs, you are told that the statements about Joe being Joe, a forgetful old fool, are “gratuitous”. But the assertion is presented with evidence gathered under the auspices of the DOJ on the president’s behalf! It’s loaded with evidence. You can say the assertion is false, but then you have to back up YOUR assertion. And that opens the door back up to Joe on trial.
How do we know they are throwing Joe under the bus?
Whether the DNC carries Joe through the convention (my theory) or drops him before that, the decision has been made by the cabal running the White House.
Instead of going quiet and dark on the Hur report, they carted Joe out to declare he is in full control of his faculties and to spout a series of lies only an idiot would tell trying to prove it.
In effect he is declaring that yes, he did commit several offenses and knew what he was doing. So the choice we have is - he is a criminal or a bumbling, forgetful old man. And the regime is sending wave after wave of mouthpieces to insist ON THE FORMER!
So, yeah, Joe is toast. Somebody get Moochell warmed up in the green room.

Before we get into the meat of the program today, I want to give a shout out to my buddy Chris Briscoe. He has a cool business fixing wheels on cars. Not tires, the wheels themselves, mostly the decorative rims.
I clipped a curb entering a tunnel a while back, hit it pretty good, and dinged up the two left rims pretty badly. I priced the wheels at $450 per. The same day I was finally pricing the parts, I ran into Chris, towing his business behind him.
For a couple hundred bucks, I have like new wheels again.
This is not a paid endorsement. Chris is a nice guy who did a good job at a very good price. I thought I’d mention it. So if you live in southern Maryland or in Virginia between Richmond and DC, and you have an affinity for caressing curbs with your deluxe rims, call Chris. His info is here:
First, my commentary on the news.
Well, boys and girls, the political whores were out in force on Wednesday with their idotic talking points BLAMING TRUMP for our present border madness (1,000,000+ known illegals this fiscal year to date). When trying to assess the hubris and arrogance of these wretched people…language fails.
Here are the points the whores were trying to make after the failure of the border/Ukraine bill.
* The Dems compromised and gave the GOP what they wanted. Have you ever heard anything more removed from reality? The “bill”, intended to fail BY THE DEMS was a bucket load of shit no responsible adult in these United States wants. It was a grab bag of Dem wet dreams and nothing, for the opposition, not even for conservative Democrats.
* The “bill” increases funding for border security. If you believe that one, don’t show up at your states primary, or any election for that matter. You’re too stupid to vote. The spending on the border was to increase the size of the welcome wagon so the empty federal uniforms, devoid of dignity, could wave through more unvetted, likely diseased illegals and cut them loose in our population.
* The”bill” secures the border. Okay, for the truly credulous, listen closely. The border was already a murderous free for all when the daily invasion numbered 1,000 illegals per day. Now it runs into the several thousands. And that is what the “bill” was intended to codify into law.
Did you know the bill had MORE money for sanctuary cities? That was the primary cushion that draws the diseased masses here to begin with. HOW THE HELL DOES MORE MONEY FOR THEM HELP?
Lankford, McConnell and the Senate Democrat caucus are WHORES! And the garbage they brought up this week in the Senate was designed to fail so these whores could say it is right wing extremists that are stopping us from solving the border problem.
Well, you bag o’dicks, I suppose 73% of Americans are right wing extremists, because that’s who wants the invasion SHUT DOWN!
If you fail to recognize when you are being played this nakedly, you lack both intelligence and dignity. Pray you are not in the majority. Because if your tribe prevails you will get the shitty country you deserve. Who is to say we don’t have that already. But honest, hard-working CITIZENS don’t deserve it.
Seal the border. Start deportations NOW!

Byron - PLEASE!
As of Wednesday, the Regime’s boot lickers in the DOJ have wrapped up their pretend investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents. Even as favorable as they will try to make it for Joe Duh, understand this. By the time you see it, it will have been twisted into a pretzel to avoid stating one obvious fact. Old Joe committed MANY counts of illegal acts by STEALING classified documents.
I listened to Byron York comment on this on Wednesday night. He’s an OKAY conservative as TV commentators go. But in his assessment of this case he whiffed it - badly!
When asked about the end of the investigation he said there was a distinct difference between the Biden document case and the Trump document case. He said the difference is that Trump “obstructed” the investigation into his possession of documents, where Joe Duh did not.
That ranks up there with the Dem talking points I discussed before.
THE PRIMARY difference between Trump’s documents and and the Puppet’s case is that Biden STOLE the documents. He had absolutely NO authority to remove them from the spaces in which he viewed them. Trump has a document-by-document case to make for what he could declassify and remove as POTUS, and here he has the advantage over his persecutors.
And as each count drops away, and they will, there is in each, no obstruction possible - only the assertion of the defendants rights under his office.
Damn, Byron. Get your shit together!
On with the learning
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of sitting down with author Suzanne Munson. See that episode, Great Men Speaking to Modern America here. Her two major works are the one in this episode’s title and The Metaphysical Thomas Jefferson.
From the outset I made it clear to Suzanne that it was the Jefferson book the sparked my interest in an interview. But I was actually more excited to read about George Wythe.
We all possess at least a fair amount of knowledge about Jefferson. Anyone with the least interest can read any one of dozens of biographies on the man. It is our failing that we know so little about the man who not only shaped Jefferson’s career, but was an important guiding hand in the birth of these United States of America.
So many of the traits we admire about TJ were made a part of his life due to his tutelage of George Wythe. Wythe was fascinated with astronomy, history, language, medicine, statesmanship, agriculture, social dignity and emancipation long before he would meet the author of the Declaration of Independence. These are all traits that fascinate us about Jefferson.
All this and much more is brought to light in Munson’s excellent biography of the man we should know so much more about. We learn about his healthy, almost fastidious habits that put him generations ahead of his peers; for example, he bathed daily. We get to know the man who was considered perhaps the most incorruptible man in Virginia.
In telling us of Wythe and his world, the author brings to life the sights, sounds, grit, beauty and smells (not all of them pleasant) of 18th century Virginia. In learning what moved Wythe, we learn what shaped the loose band of Colonies that would very quickly form a new nation - very much in the mold Wythe would inspire.
The reader will also see many of the names we see as legendary, Washington, Madison, Adams, Franklin, attached to people who were men who would become legends, thanks to their exposure to the intellect and vision of George Wythe. Perhaps we can make Franklin an exception to that, as he was a peer of George’s and a world figure in his own right.
To understand Wythe is to understand the most essential underpinnings of not only the revolution, but the foundation upon which this nation staggered onto the world stage. Without his steady hand at the till in those early days, forming the minds that would stand in our courts and legislatures, who knows what might have become of us.
There is much for anyone to learn and emulate in George Wythe. But young men especially would do well to shape their lives as he did.
Suzanne gives us all of this in a pleasant, readable narrative. One can see the moments of fun the author had in connecting old cliches to where they may have been first uttered. And that flavor, along with her detailed understanding of politics, society and commerce of the age, places us in the streets of Williamsburg and greater Virginia in the life and times of George Wythe.
I give Jefferson’s Godfather… four stars **** and a strong recommendation. If you are a student of early American History, it is a must-read.
There are only two healthy places for your eyeballs, here and in a good book.
Some of you may have noticed that a lot of the books I review here, and did in my WordPress days, are not new. My goal is not to promote the newest best-sellers (although I am always open for business if you need a promo), but to encourage among my readers the habit of reading for enjoyment. As well, I want to offer regular readers a list of choices they may have not considered.
For my part, when browsing a book store, a great pastime if you haven’t tried it, I almost never buy a book. It is often too hard to decide what to chose from reading one front flap after another. Sometimes I score. But usually if I buy a book at a brick and mortar, it was the one I went with the intention to buy.
I have more often than not bought books on a trusted recommendation or as a branch of research.
After Dunkirk, by Lee Jackson
My habit is to read for fun over breakfast, then start my day. Lately I have been pursuing series packages. The most recent of these is the series that starts with After Dunkirk. I have one or two installments left before I find out how WWII ended.
The books are pretty basic, but with characters and story lines the reader wants to see to the end. Most of the main characters are relatable and easy to sympathize with.
To be honest, the story line is what hooked me. It is perfect for two types of readers. The perfect age group for this series would be the young adult market. The plot feels a bit like The Hardy Boys Meet World Conflagration. The Littlefield family members time and again find themselves sitting across the room from Winston Churchill, FDR, famous field commanders and other movers and shaker of the period.
It’s all pretty standard stuff as historical fiction goes. But it is a bit ham-handed. An example of how such works should develop would be Herman Wouk’s Winds of War (to be featured here soon).
So along with young readers, if you are a person not likely to pick up a tome from the likes of Wouk or Ladislas Farago, but you really like WWII stories, this series is for you. You get to see real events unfold up close. Historical figures take on a more human stature. The characters are your eyes and ears. It’s an easy, fun read. It can be a list of beach books, lasting for several weeks of your summer or just something you do instead of watching Joe Rogan shows, which you should never do anyway. He’s so last week. I’m the man now.
I give the entire After Dunkirk series 3 stars ***. Recommended for enjoyable, light reading. If you start the series and like the Littlefield back-story, you’ll finish the lot. Get your copy here. After Dunkirk by Lee Jackson (Book 1)

This is another of my multimedia extravaganzas. You can read or listen to the audio, then click on the video linked at the end of the text.
My New Year’s resolution is to bring you more content, more variety and more fun. But that was tempered by my quest, which is the utter rejection of the Davos/WEF cult and the people who stand behind it. I am at war with these people.
Before you go on to the video consider the following. It’s important. Indirectly, the video raises a few questions for which I will posit some preemptive answers. But I will start with another question. What is the psyche, the inner most self of the Davos/WEF cult?
When you have all the money you want, but you have not found real quality in yourself, where do you turn? What’s next? The obvious answer is the seeking of power for its own sake. If you have money, you have power. If you have power, the money follows. So the only next step is excess.
The video eludes to something very obvious in the case of the Davos crowd. Offense. Look at the people near the galactic center of the cult. John Kerry, Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab, the Bonny King Charlie and that knob, Al Gore.
All these men have been personally offended. They ALL feel they are superior beings and any offense they have ever experienced is unjust and will be offset, perhaps some day, even punished. This type of personality would not be satisfied saying, “Well, I built a big computer company. I will use my money to altruistically help the world in X problem.”
No, for a rich guy who still feels an irrational need to prove himself, because he was somehow offended in his life, and the money hasn’t compensated, naked power is an aphrodisiac.
Klaus Schwab has always carried the label “son of a Nazi”. That’s because he was the son of a Nazi. Since the inception of the Davos cult, he has truly earned the pejorative. The more extreme his pursuits, the more people see him correctly as a crazy German who wants to dominate the world. Now he’s offended again. So the offense is constant and cyclical. The cycle of offense and compensation is aggravated by his weird propensity for dressing like a Klingon.
John Kerry and that knob, Al Gore both spent their lives in the close proximity to the locus of real power, sometimes were permitted by their betters to exercise some. But both were failed presidential candidates. Both were nakedly running for greater personal power versus honorable reasons. Both were seen as punchlines while they were still striving for the brass ring.
Bill Gates has always been the human embodiment of Kermit the Frog. He also garnered quite the reputation for being brazenly under-handed in the “building” of a tech company. Ask historians who know IBM, Apple or Xerox. Yes, Gates was to market, the firstest with the mostest. But a great deal of it wasn’t his. What he didn’t have, to build the foundation of his company, he swiped. In at least one case having warned Xerox he had every intention of doing so (weird). What his real experts couldn’t noodle out to scale up, he bought outright. He has had to deal with the reputation and the nerd image all his life.
Gates is an especially interesting case among the Davos cultists. He has succeeded in creating an image of himself, through slick marketing and PR, as a big-hearted philanthropist. He’s risen above the hustle and bustle of business. Yeah, right.
Bill is still buying up farmland alongside, if not in collusion with the Chinese Communists. He is trying his best to cripple his future competition, farmers. He intends to peddle his fake meat, bugs and GMO crap with the WEF, the EU, the UN, the US Government and many others, acting as his marketing agents and bag men.
So far, of the cast above, I think it is probably correct to say that Schwab, Kerry and Gates are the cynical ring-leaders, nakedly seeking the domination of others with their eyes wide open.
That knob, Al Gore is a bit of a hybrid of true believer and carnival barker for the cult. You can’t make public pronouncements as loud and as stupid as his (a billion climate refugees) without believing at least some of the propaganda to begin with. Still, he is cynical enough to make tons of money from bullshit investment pass-throughs to siphon off government green scam money or do “sustainable investment” pump and dumps.
Then you have the true believers, similarly motivated. King Chuck is the ultimate example of the perpetually offended (as a result of his own life choices being laughed at), insanely entitled celebrity that surrounds the cult. He now sits on a throne he clearly doesn’t respect himself. Most of his obligations are ceremonial. He is told he can’t have an opinion lest he shake the Constitutional Monarchy. He is the perfect rube. As certain as the sunrise, the London establishment will deeply regret that Elizabeth didn’t abdicate in favor of William. I regret it already, and I’m not even British.
The wider world is crawling with acolytes, like Charles, believing or exploiting the cult plan. Of all the true believers it can be said that they SEEK daily to be offended by real life and cling to the concept of life being centrally planned by their gods and celebrity heroes. Of the cynical, of course we know they think, by pushing the agenda, they might get a few crumbs fall their way when their betters are fully in the catbird seat.
Sadly, that latter bunch will be disappointed. 90% of them will work and plot and protest and argue, only to end up serfs like the rest of us.

What was I thinking! This was supposed to be a quick hit. Spank the Lefty and move on. But the naivete is so dense it grew to be a two-part masterpiece.
Miss Milano had complained that:
* No Child should go hungry in this country.
* No one should have to work 2 or 3 jobs to get by.
* Woman need equal rights.
The short answer to all of that is, “Well, DUH, Alyssa!”
But because it is mostly the work of her tribe that has created these issues, I decided to lay it all out for them.
When we left off, we had discussed the value of RESPONSIBLE Fatherhood, and RESPONSIBLE motherhood. We need to educate our kids and not treat drug abuse like the abuser was suffering from a virus.
Let’s move to the next point.
Ding bat point 2: People shouldn’t have to work 2 and 3 jobs to get by.
That sentiment is LOADED with 21st century weakness and churlishness.
All people will work as they deem fit to work. Having one job or five isn’t a moral dilemma for wider society. Nor is it an issue appropriate for the Chief Executive of the Executive Branch to attend to. It is a reality that WILL NEVER be changed by wealthy, hand-wringing show folk no matter who they shill for in an election.
There are a few reasons one might work more than one job. A person impatient to improve there financial situation may not be satisfied with their primary employment. We’ll say Joe is working in a junior bank position may know that promotions will come, but is not satisfied with his entry level salary. He might take a job doing any kind of gainful activity. He might work in a restaurant or drive for a rideshare company. It usually doesn’t much matter the work. The ambitious youngster is banking coin. He’ll coast when he picks up a more senior position at his day job. And he’ll always have a few bucks in his pocket.
Imaginary Mary wants to buy a nice, reliable car with a few bell and whistles. She knows she can’t pay cash. And a car in the class she desires may mean monthly payments that would be irresponsibly high. On top of her pharmacy job, Mary decides to put in 25 hours per week at Home Depot. In a year’s time, watching her spending, she can have a fine downpayment set aside and drive a car her peers would envy.
A less attractive reason for a second job might be debt. No aspersions cast here. There are all kinds of debt. But let’s say a couple, Jenny and Tom, want to buy a house. Their mortgage guy tells them that base on the debt-to-income ratio they can afford a $490,000 mortgage. They look around and find the $490,000 will buy a really nice place. They ink the deal.
But Tom and Jenny never heard the adage, “just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.” They just maxed out their debt to income ratio. They have zero wiggle room when two days after the warranty expires, Jenny burns out her shitty, KIA, enclosed, unservicable transmission. And damn, Tom’s employer announces the loss of a contract and the overtime gravy train has rolled to a stop.
You know these two people are not going to just roll over. They have bills to pay and a transmission to replace (if not a whole car). They’re evenings and weekends will be spent wearing a wearing a blue vest at Walmart or waiting tables or being telemarketers.
Hell, in that scenario, a couple might not even have to face reduced work hours or material loss. Just two years of Bidenomics would have put them in the exact same situation. When you’re maxed out, you can’t just magically pay 35% more for everything. Somebody will have to schlep for a second income.
And our ding bat of the week wants to keep that bag of bones in office!
Here are two more scenarios that have a different flavor.
I have a friend who, like SO MANY parents, bought into the college scam. Your child MUST go to college is they are to succeed! My friend had a good job which you might consider admin or lower management. She borrowed tons of money to get her daughter into a very good school; not Ivy League, but way more expensive than Community College. She had to take a second, full-time night job to make the payments.
She did this all through her daughter’s time in school. And for years AFTER HER KID DROPPED OUT! Nobody was bad, here. The kid just wasn’t a good fit for the program. My friend is far from alone. There are lots of parents out there slinging hash or even working under the table in response to the same con game.
Then there’s the question of YOUR learning.
There is a reason low-end, entry level jobs are called that. It’s because they are low-end, entry level jobs. For decades those jobs were pumping gas, flipping burgers, delivering pizza or newspapers, selling tickets at the movie theater. They were simple jobs, that needed to be done. And we had a flood of eager kids who would kill for the money. My first jobs were substituting for my brother on his paper route and sweeping green at a mini-golf consession.
These jobs were ALWAYS filled by kids. They were an economy of scale. At no time was there ever the idea to hire adults to do them. They were gas money. Date money. My cousin worked his way up, part time to where he was at K-Mart through college. He was a shift manager when he left to have a great career as a teacher. But he wasn’t thinking of that when he started at the store.
With the explosion of fast food and big box stores, many more positions opened up. If you were young and half-assed intelligent, you’d have to hide under a bed to NOT work. Then these stores started a practice, that on some levels, I am sure they tend to regret. They started offering these positions to adults who have no hope of making a healthy living from. It is an economic impossibility…unless they stay on long enough to move up.
The business model doesn’t support paying junior floor walkers enough money to raise kids.
If you have a whole lot of something, in this case positions in your work place that anybody can fill and you have no problem getting applicants, that thing is by definition, not very valuable. Spending lots of money on it is impossible.
Walmart could completely revamp its model and become a high-end boutique. They could cater to people who buy expensive stuff. And they could give their sales staff intensive training and pay them much more. But then there would be one less place where people like your handsome host can go to stretch his dollar. AND…here’s the key part…Walmart WILL NOT hire as many workers.
For adults Walmart ALREADY IS the place where you go for your second job stocking shelves or directing people toward a purchase.
The reason we have so many young adult and middle age people working in retail and the service industry trying to make ends meet with just that as income is because we have WAY too many foreigners who showed up without marketable skills AND our local gentry is wildly under educated and trained.
Do you want to make adult money? You need to acquire knowledge or skills that are in demand.
An employer has to pay you the difference between what it costs to hire/keep you versus what he can save by not hiring you. If profits demand another body, congratulations. You’re hired.
Right now, wages in the big box stores are pretty good because we have more positions available than we have people motivated enough to take them.
Which leads to another conclusion about ding bat point 2. If I have a job, and I am able to go out and get a second job, that’s because there are a huge number of people out there not seeking employment of ANY kind. They must be waiting for Boeing to knock on their door and offer them a VP position.
We have one of the highest non-participation rates in the employment market ever. We may have very well lost the middle third of our employment age workers. We can only hope the next third doesn’t acquire their work ethic.
And Ding bat point number 3! Equal rights…
Ding bat point number 3 is the most propagandized of the three, and that’s sayin’ somthin’!!
Under the existing Constitution, and under law since the end of Jim Crow, if you are treated unequally by anyone in the public economy or government you have the right of redress because your existing equal rights have been violated.
For example if you are rejected by a school only to find there were numerous other people who have been admitted with lesser credentials, you can sue the school for redress. An ethical judge or jury MUST find in your favor should you prove you case. Many have done so successfully. That’s why colleges are now doing away with measurable qualifications so they can treat people unfairly (discriminate) in a way that can’t be measured.
Your rights are clearly outlined in the Bill of Rights. Whenever an employer or government official bypasses you in favor of someone else with less qualifications; whenever you lose an opportunity for reasons of you sex or color or political views, the offender is guilty under law.. But you have to prove it.
The danger lies in trying to create rights for this group and not for that one. Many companies and even our own government already do that contrary to law. But these days it is popular, despite being utterly wrong-headed. What a crime it would be if we tampered with the Constitution such that we made such unequal treatment legal!
The challenge is to bring everyone under the existing protections, as we did Black Americans in the previous century. Right now, with hiring and college quotas (in federally funded schools), we are pushing people out from under the umbrella with the existing government’s blessing. We need to get back to a time after 1965 and before quotas, so we can all enjoy our protections together.
We lose our rights when emotional train wrecks, political whores or showfolk start insisting that one group should have these rights and another should have those rights. What you should be calling for is the proper enforcement of existing law both civil and criminal. We all sink or swim together.
As to the main objection rolling around in you brain: It can’t be done. It’s too hard (for the folks we are addressing? Or for you?). Or it’s just not cool enough.
There is nothing strenuous to what I am suggesting. It was the default majority position of all races and economic levels for generations. It is just living life in a useful, happy way. BUT…to be a part of it isn’t easy or cool. Demanding the people around you have an ounce of dignity certainly isn’t popular right now. And what’s popular right now, the way Snoop dresses, America’s Got Talent, kids teaching and correcting their parents, is a function of media geared toward 14 year-olds across the board. If you 16, you’ve outgrown popular media already. Act like it!
