We have a packed show for you today, and we start with a question. Would you allow passengers to ride in your towed vehicle, such as a bumper pull or 5th wheel? Would you believe it is legal in twenty-two states? Sean and I discuss our feelings and open the discussion up to you, the listener.

Often when I hear people talk about RV life, it is followed by how it’s so much cheaper than traditional living or even more affordable than avg vacations, so I wanted to share this story by RV Business where Yacht Haven Park & Marina is selling RV lots for $729,000 That is not for the entire park that is for one single spot. So, our question to you is what is the most you would pay to buy a permeant site and what is the most you have ever paid for one night, and where was it?

We then move into industry news, as a lot has been going on since our last Drivers Edition.
A USA Today report shows more women are buying RVs than ever before. This was no surprise to us as we follow several female RVers on social media. The article reported that there had been a 10.6% increase from 2021 to 2023. This reminds us of a minipod episode we recorded not too long ago about the resistance to women camping when the movement first started way back in the 1800s.

We also chat about new products like Lippert’s solar awning named Solera OG. This awning supposedly installs like a regular awning and offers 200 watts of Renogy Solar panels while in travel and 300 watts while fully deployed. The awning uses Renogy’s proprietary thin-film solar panel.

Cummins is also releasing a new lineup of RV generators, which will meet California’s Air standards set by (CARB) the California Air Resource Board. They will also be introducing a new generator called the QG 4000i. This new generator will be electronic fuel injection, run quieter than its previous model, and be more fuel efficient with a lower emissions output. We were fortunate to be able to interview Cummins at the FMCA rally.
