  • QUICK HIT: "Refugees Welcome?"
-New York police are on the hunt for four activists who mounted a “Refugees Welcome” banner on the Statue of Liberty. This begs the question, is there really a point to this act when you consider the fact that the statue itself is intended to welcome those arriving in this country?
-The only lead NYPD reportedly have is that one of the four is named “David”. So, if you know a “David” living in the Tri-State area, call NYPD now! (Actually, please do not do that. We were just having fun...)

  • QUICK HIT: Eating, based on looks?
-Venezuela has continued to plummet into chaos as its socialist policies have led to its starving citizens taking on a “Maduro” diet and eating flamingos to stay alive. Eighty-two percent of Venezuelans currently live below the poverty line, so we can pretty clearly discern that things have only gotten worse since the death of Hugo Chavez.
-The guys wonder if the birds taste like cotton candy… They certainly look good enough to eat... or is that thought discriminatory?

  • FULL: The Statue of "Refugee" - 2/22/17
-Pat and Stu ponder Donald Trump’s inaction on immigration policies enacted by the Obama Administration. Why didn’t Trump take action on day one in office after running a campaign focused on enforcing immigration laws that had been ignored? Has he gone back to his democratic roots and gone down the path of “comprehensive immigration reform”? Pat explains that such reform undoubtedly means amnesty to illegal immigrants.
-New York police are on the hunt for four activists who mounted a “Refugees Welcome” banner on the Statue of Liberty. The only lead they reportedly have is that one of the four is named “David”. So, if you know a “David” living in the Tri-State area, call NYPD now! (Actually, please do not do that.)
-Venezuela has continued to plummet into chaos as its socialist policies have led to its starving citizens taking on a “Maduro” diet and eating flamingos to stay alive. The guys wonder if the birds taste like cotton candy… In all seriousness though, 82 percent of Venezuelans live below the poverty line, so we can pretty clearly discern that things have only gotten worse since the death of Hugo Chavez.
-The Trump Administration has announced that they will lift federal transgender bathroom guidelines. Exactly what this means is still uncertain, but Pat and Stu agree that it is probably good news for conservatives who either champion the states’ right to choose or a policy of “the gender of your junk” (Stu’s exact words).
-President Trump is a very well-spoken man… sort of… Okay, maybe he isn’t. While visiting the new African-American History Museum in Washington, the President allegedly looked upon a slave auction block from Maryland and was quoted as saying, “Boy, that is just not good. That is not good.” On a pair of shackles, he supposedly remarked, “Boy, that is really bad. That is really bad.” Well, he’s not wrong.
-Major League Baseball pitchers no longer have to throw four pitches for an intentional walk. Now all the umpire needs is a signal from the dugout to send the batter to first base. The guys agree that this isn’t messing with tradition too much. They can’t say the same for the idea of giving both teams a free runner on second in extra innings to help shorten games.
-A Massachusetts school district has halted a program that had police officers high-five students as they entered school. The rationale behind this action is that “some students might not be comfortable with police presence at the beginning of the day.” Pat, Stu, and Jeffy agree that we should have more of these programs in place to promote trust of such authority figures.
-“Illegal Aliens” or “Undocumented Immigrants”? What is the proper way to address the millions of immigrants who have entered this country without proper authorization? According to the AP Stylebook, the only term to use is “Undocumented Immigrants." Stu makes the claim that "Illegal Aliens" sounds like these people actually entered the country illegally (which they did), whereas "Undocumented Immigrants" sounds like they are documented, but just left their papers at home.
-Glenn Beck joins the program to tell the story of Booker T. Washington's emancipation from slavery and subsequent rise to prominence within the African-American community. Glenn implores listeners to read 'Up from Slavery', which eliminates all doubt about what sort of man Washington really was.
-Why do cartoon characters wear gloves? The reason is not racism, as was surmised on a previous episode. The reason is that these humanized versions of animals required additional contrast to be seen properly in grainy, black-and-white footage.
-The guys eat and rate new salsa and queso-flavored chips in the latest edition of SPOONS! And this might just be the most split verdict in recent memory.

  • FULL: James K. Polk Tuesday - 2/21/17
-John F. Kennedy Airport in New York had a monumental security breakdown as passengers walked straight through an unmanned TSA checkpoint. What do you do if you're one of those passengers? Do you tell an airport policeman about it, or do you just go on ahead and board your plane?

-Pat has a motto. How did he get it? He got it from the 1970's hit song "Afternoon Delight". This begs the question, what exactly does this song refer to? Here's a hint: Jeffy did not know that it referred to a daytime sexual encounter...

-Pat and Stu praise the work of an MSNBC reporter (yes, you read that right). Reporter Katy Tur was discussing relations with Russia with Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) when he brought up a discussion Barack Obama had with Vladimir Putin in 2012. Tur immediately ended the interview after saying "I don't know what you're referring to." Was her response appropriate? What about her follow up, in which she acknowledged the 2012 meeting and explained herself?

-Nestle. Do they hate America, or are they smart business people? It's the latter. The food giant announced that they will be moving their American headquarters out of California due to skyrocketing costs of living and an "anti-corporate" culture. The guys examine the situation in California and contrast a pair of hit HGTV shows.

-It's James K. Polk Tuesday! So we're here to talk about that man's urinary tract infections! No, really...

-If robots do all the work in the future, they might need to start paying taxes. Bill Gates suggests that, since the government needs money to operate, the income tax might get passed on to the machines. Pat and Stu are skeptical.

-In the throwaway segment of the show (a.k.a. "Jeffy Time"), the large co-host describes an incident in which over 100 headstones at a Jewish cemetery in Missouri were vandalized and how it is somehow difficult to call this incident a hate crime.

-Venezuela has reached a point where over 90 percent of its citizens have lost an average of about 20 pounds due to food shortages and soaring prices. As if we needed any more proof that socialism is bad.

-Why do we allow grocery stores to charge us a ton of money for pre-sliced produce? We save a minute of labor, yet pay several dollars more for an already-prepared tub of bananas and strawberries. Why do we keep doing this?

-Surveillance footage of the exact moment that Kim Jong Nam (the half-brother of the supreme leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un)was poisoned at an airport in Malaysia has been released. The man who was supposed to have become supreme leader of the isolated nation was approached by two women who appeared to administer a toxin either to his neck or his nostrils.

-The guys dissect the trailer for a new horror movie with racial overtones: "Get Out". They are intrigued, to say the least.

-Glenn Beck joins the program with 'The Vault', in which he has another discussion with historian David Barton in regards to a group of African-Americans who have been forgotten by the history books. Tune in to learn how the Hoosier State (Indiana) really got its nickname as well as how a slave girl became a poet whose greatness was recognized by none other than George Washington.

-A guy is eating a picture of actor Jason Segel every day until the celebrity does the same for him. What does he possibly have to gain from this bizarre stunt aside from the attention of Pat and Stu?

-Alcoholic Sprite (a.k.a. "Zima") has made its triumphant return! Stu tells the story, but fails to get Pat enthused about it.

-The guys eat Cinnamon Bun Oreo's in the latest edition of SPOONS! Meanwhile, Jeffy eats a rather large picture of a young...Pat Gray?!!!!!

-Stu respects a musician's right to express his political views through his work way more-so than that of an actor. Why should "gun-fu" actors Keanu Reeves, Matt Damon, and Liam Neeson preach against gun rights when they might shoot 100 people over the course of one of their films?

-Pat and Stu praise the work of an MSNBC reporter (yes, you read that right). Reporter Katy Tur was discussing relations with Russia with Rep. The food giant announced that they will be moving their American headquarters out of California due to skyrocketing costs of living and an "anti-corporate" culture.

After all, isn't the purpose of inventing robots to save time and money?

-In the throwaway segment of the show (a.k.a. "Jeffy Time"), the large co-host describes an incident in which over 100 headstones at a Jewish cemetery in Missouri were vandalized and how it is somehow difficult to call this incident a hate crime. The guys continue to expose double standards in our criminal justice system.

-Venezuela has reached a point where over 90 percent of its citizens have lost an average of about 20 pounds due to food shortages and soaring prices. As if we needed any more proof that socialism is bad.

-Pat discusses his son's two years in Finland and reminds us that life there isn't without its shortfalls. While the Finnish people are great, according to Pat's son, they have not been very receptive to the recent surge of immigrants entering their previously homogeneous society.

-Why do we allow grocery stores to charge us a ton of money for pre-sliced produce? We save a minute of labor, yet pay several dollars more for an already-prepared tub of bananas and strawberries. Why do we keep doing this? The guys tell you what you've probably known all along.

Pat and Stu agree, they need some of this stuff for a special someone...

  • Pat and Stu 2/21/17 - Hour 2
-Venezuela has reached a point where over 90 percent its citizens have lost an average of about 20 pounds. As if we needed any more proof that socialism is bad...

-Pat discusses his son's experiences in Finland and tells us that the place is not as awesome as liberals say it is. In fact, the society there has been so homogeneous for so long that racism is rife among the population amid the recent arrival of immigrants.

-Stu likes produced diced to his liking. Most Americans feel the same way. Yet it costs us tons of money. Why do we keep letting stores save us a minute amount of labor for a massive uptick in cost?

-Surveillance footage of the exact moment that Kim Jong Nam (the half- brother of North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong Un)was poisoned at an airport in Malaysia has been released. The man who was originally supposed to become supreme leader appears to be targeted by a pair of women wielding what could be a toxin designed to be injected or inhaled. Pat and Stu agree that they need to get their hands on some of this stuff for a special someone...

-The guys dissect the trailer for the new horror film with racial overtones: "Get Out". They are intrigued.

-Glenn Beck joins the program with ‘The Vault’, in which he has another chat with historian David Barton about a slew of African-Americans who simply should not have been forgotten by the history books. Tune in to learn how the Hoosier State (Indiana) got its nickname, and learn about the young poet whose work was promoted by none other than George Washington.

-There is a guy who eats a picture of actor Jason Segel every day and will continue to do so until Segel eats a picture of him. Will he ever get to stop eating the (strangely large) pictures? Probably, but he won't gain much fame from it.

-Alcoholic Sprite (a.k.a. Zima) has made its triumphant return! Stu tells the story and fails to enthuse Pat.

  • QUICK HIT: Afternoon Delight = ?
The guys break from the script to discuss Pat's motto (sort of). The fair Mr. Gray apparently lives by the teachings of the 1970's song "Afternoon Delight" by the Starland Vocal Band. Little does Jeffy know that the tune actually refers to a daytime sexual encounter (a fact even Pat did not realize until years after he first heard the song). Hilarity ensues and jaws drop left and right in this bit.

  • QUICK HIT: Clueless Journalist???
-Pat and Stu praise the work of an MSNBC reporter (yes, you read that right).

-Katy Tur was discussing relations with Russia with Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) when he brought up a discussion Barack Obama had with Vladimir Putin in 2012. Tur immediately ended the interview after saying "I don't know what you're referring to." She was widely criticized for her actions, but unlike most other reporters, she actually came full circle and researched the 2012 meeting before explaining herself on a later show. The guys applaud her making good amid a bad situation.

  • QUICK HIT: California Exodus
-The giant food corporation Nestlé made headlines when they announced that they were pulling their American headquarters from California amid skyrocketing costs of living in the state and an "anti-corporate" climate.

-Pat and Stu explain that this is nowhere near the first instance of this happening. They go into detail about how housing prices have soared in California and contrast the HGTV programs 'Flip or Flop' (which is set in California) and 'Fixer Upper' (which is set in Texas).
