Welcome back to a new mini series within the main show! As you may or may not be aware I'm a huge personal growth and self-development junkie and my biggest commitment in life is the one to bettering myself. To always be learning and striving to understand the good, the bad, and the ugly, and how to ultimately find optimum peace and joy in life! 

So I've most recently found a counsellor to start working with, initially on a weekly basis, and felt called to share this journey with you... so here we are! It naturally won't be all of the ins and outs of my sessions but the aim is more to share what the general experience is like, what I'm gaining from it, and how I'm handling the tricky stuff that ultimately is going to show up along the way(!!).

In this episode I share my raw thoughts and feelings straight after my first session. I don't feel like I had loads to express but felt called to share that I was experiencing a lot of discomfort and the importance in learning to sit with that and allow it to be.

Happy 1st Birthday to Pathway to Purpose the Podcast!! 

What an amazing year it's been. I have loved every single inspiring conversation that has taken place and am beyond grateful that you make the time to tune in and benefit from them as much as I do! 

Take this as your reminder that you really can do ANYTHING that you set your mind to. Did I ever think that I would have my own podcast? Nope! Let alone did I ever think it would also flow so well with amazing guests and wonderful feedback. 

But I knew It was something I could try. Give it a go and see how it unfolded. Someone once asked me if I would keep going with it even if only a couple people listened... and my answer was of course yes! Because it's not about the numbers, the external validation and the kudos from anyone else. It's about doing what makes YOU feel good, what lights you up, and following what you believe has the potential to make an impact on the world around you.

So here we are! A year later back with my first ever guest the wonderful Aggie Nonsizi, reflecting on a year of growth, change, lessons, and more. In this solo episode I share a bit of a comeback chat as it feels like it's been a lot longer than it actually has! This episode was therefore going to be named 'starting again' until I realised that title already exists (oops!). So therefore it's title is actually much more fitting - always turns out that was doesn't it :)

Our identity is often something we simply accept and stick with. It's formed over our lifetime and once we hit adulthood it's far too easy to just take what's been formed for what it is. However often without conscious effort do we have the identity that truly feels fitting for us... and the fact of the matter is that even if we choose the path to establishing it there will be constant changes too! Because the external world is always changing and therefore our internal world should be encouraged too also. 

This episode is primarily to provide a boost where it's needed and offer a check point in remembering that you get to CHOOSE how you show up. The things you do, the places you go, the people you see, and fundamentally the thought processes you have that govern all of this.

It's also an important reminder that personal growth is no easy ride (if only!). If you're doing it effectively then it's painful, it's uncomfortable, it's icky, and far from a walk in the park. However I share ways that make it more manageable as it really is the only true way forwards. 

So whether you're on a walk, driving along, or cosied up with a cuppa I hope you enjoy this episode <3
