In this second practice episode we dive into direct connection with our breath.
We begin by exploring the breath as a constant undercurrent of our experience and how that offers us a steady anchor to lean into at any moment and then discuss the way in which the breath is the connector between our conscious and unconscious. Breanna offers up an explanation for why we are intentionally working outside the mind itself for these first few practice offerings.
In the practice (13:27) we move through a practice of breath awareness through a three stage guided observation of the breath.
Then we wrap up the episode (27:50) with Breanna's personal insights and our self inquiry questions to deepen your experience.
Join us for the first of our monthly practice episodes. The offering this month is a practice of connecting to our five physical senses, spending time with each one in turn, noticing what our experience of each one is like, then allowing time for freely oscillating through them, and finally, deliberately remaining connected to the sense that has the most stabilizing effect on us.
The episode opens with an introduction to the practice, ways to work with it as well as an exploration of Breanna's insights and experience with doing the practice daily for a month. Then the practice itself (10:54) runs for a little over 12 minutes followed by a brief list of self inquiry questions (23:38) that are available as a way to deepen your experience with the practice.
Welcome to the Pathways Home Podcast, an exploration of practices of presence to come home to ourselves.
In this first episode, join your host & guide, Breanna Morandi as she introduces herself, the inspiration behind the creation of this podcast and the unique format of the monthly episodes that will makeup the core offering of this podcast series.
