Alex Barth of 98.5 The Sports Hub and Pat Pulpit's Brian Hines discuss a very 'normal' practice on Day 1 of Patriots OTAs. Patriots QB Mac Jones called the practice 'normal' which stands out given last year's well documented issues under Matt Patricia and Joe Judge.

" It's been really good. It's been normal. I think everything he's done so far has been really good," Mac Jones said after practice. "I think the communication is the most important part, and trust. I think it all starts with that when you're with a new coach. He's done a great job in controlling the room. I feel like everyone's on the same page."

Super Bowl champion and former Patriots running back James White hopped on Pats Interference to talk with Andrew Callahan about the Patriots offseason, OTAs, and more, including some of their signings and moves during free agency.

The Patriots scooped former Jaguars and Jets running back James Robinson, a former 1,000 yard rusher who was acquired midseason by New York and let go in free agency. Now with New England, can he return to form and play a key part in the Patriots backfield with Damien Harris gone? James White gives his take on James Robinson as well as the way running backs are undervalued in the NFL.

The NFL schedule has been released for the upcoming season, and it looks like the Patriots will be jumping right into the fire to start things off. With a boatload of tough matchups from the jump, this New England team will be pressured and tested very early.

As all the teams around them in the AFC East improve significantly, the roster has improved only slightly around the edges, especially on defense. Have the Patriots slid down the list of teams in their division? Are they the 4th best defense in the East? Greg Bedard discusses some of that as well as some early-season schedule predictions in this segment of The Greg Bedard Patriots Podcast.

After the New England Patriots draft stud corner Christian Gonzalez with the 17th overall pick, the Patriots secondary has gotten a major boost as it's taken shape. With the first rounder expected to start as a CB1, Jack and Jonathan Jones filing in as well as Myles Bryant, where does that leave Marcus Jones?

The speedy defensive back was a big silver lining from last year's rough season, including some big plays on offense. With him suddenly buried behind the depth at safety and corner, is there a chance for the Patriots to move Marcus Jones to offense? Could Marcus Jones become an offensive weapon for New England?

Greg Bedard and Nick Cattles discuss on the latest Greg Bedard Patriots Podcast.
