When giving thanks for another day, the first pilgrims who came over on the Mayflower boat went through some very trying times. Due to the food shortages, sickness and cold, many of them lost spouses, children and other family members. Yet, on their first Autumn of 1621, 100 local Pokanoket Indians joined them in a meal which became known as the first thanksgiving meal. They could have focused on the loss and pain, but rather chose to give thanks to God for His blessings. Thanksgiving for many of us can also remind us of our lost loved ones who have gone onto their reward in heaven, but we too, must choose in faith, to give thanks to our generous God for all His blessings. Pastor Paul shares a bit of truth and wisdom imparting the life of Christ through teaching God's Word. #truth, #wisdom, #paulheidtministries, #abitoftruth

Would you please help us out in sharing this information especially with those who are not online. Remember the church is not a building, ~it’s the people of God, ~filled with the presence of God, ~set apart to do the works of God. Christ has enabled us to do that in the world and not primarily in a building. Remember the golden rule during this time of uncertainty. Let’s use this time to advance the purposes of God and stay connected with each other. Romans 8:28,
