Servanthood values are caught not taught. You can teach someone to be a servant, and you need to do that, but unless you practice it before them, they don't always catch on.  This is not only true of a church, but also in a home. Your children need to see you serve your spouse and one another in a spirit of love. That is why Jesus said that He came not to be served, but to serve and give His life as a ransom.  Mark 10:45

How do I know if I belong in God's church? If I belong in God's church, I need to know that there are two basic parts of a Christian's life. The first is gaining entrance into the church by believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior.  The second aspect is understanding the importance of belonging to Jesus' church.

Believing in Gods Church it is important for a person to not only receive Jesus as their Savior, but to also believe in His Church.  The Church of Jesus Christ is the only hope of the world.  To spread that hope to others, followers of Christ need to belong to a local church. Yet, a church is not a church just because it has a steeple.  You need to find one that not only bases their beliefs on the Holy Bible, but also functions as a family of God.

Is God speaking to me or is it me? How is God speaking today? Our God is a communicating God.  He primarily speaks through the Word of God, which is the benchmark on discerning whether God is speaking to us or not. The Holy Spirit will never speak against the book that He wrote, the Holy Bible.  Yet, God speaks in other ways other than the written word of God.  Today's teaching will explore many of the ways God can still speak to us today.

Is God speaking to me or is it me? Is God still speaking to me? Or, is it me? Have you ever had an experience where you believed God was speaking to you?  How about knowing that God was communicating to you, but you didn't know exactly what He was saying.  Samuel, the young prophet of Israel had God speak to him five times before he finally realized that God was trying to get his attention.  The issue is never on God's ability to speak, but on ours to perceive.  God is still speaking today.  It is not on the same level as the word of God.  Nevertheless, if we would believe He still speaks, we will discover a wonderful journey of how God speaks.
