The Extra Credits podcast is hosted by two teachers searching for meaning in your favorite movies and shows.

'Licorice Pizza' is sold as a slice of life story about an odd friendship set in San Fernando Valley, California. However, we argue that writer and director Paul Thomas Anderson is subverting the 'Coming of Age' story arc with this future Oscar nominee. We follow Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman as they embark on many adventures and find themselves in the same space with powerful people, such as Bradley Cooper, Sean Penn, and Bennie Safdie.
