Orlando City terminated the contract of left back Jonathan Suarez this past week after he and his brother were arrested on sexual battery charges last Tuesday. Obviously this is a terrible subject but we’re talking about it anyway. Nobody will walk away from this unscathed. From a strictly soccer standpoint, the Lions did the right thing and can now work on finding a replacement before the 2021 season starts.

We’ve got some thoughts on Orlando’s remaining off-season priorities, jersey numbers for the new guys, and a couple of young Lions are still on the pared-down U.S. preliminary roster for Olympic qualifying. Plus, Inter Miami has a lot of purple on that new coaching staff and some of the league’s new road kits are bad.

The SheBelieves Cup wrapped up since our last show and we discuss how that went, particularly for the USWNT and Alex Morgan. We dive into the Pride’s preseason schedule and updated roster, as well as the addition of 2020 draft pick Abi Kim, who the club signed on Tuesday.

This week’s mailbag had questions about who might play left back with the current roster if Kyle Smith were unavailable, USWNT jersey selections, and what’s going on in Sacramento with regard to MLS expansion.
