PawedCast Episode 186: Joey DeZart Interview, Real Salt Lake Preview, Pride News and More

It’s time to finally get ready for 2020 with our preview of Orlando City vs. Real Salt Lake in Saturday’s season opener. We’re excited to get the season going and as such, we’ve put together a top-notch show with not one but two special guests.

We start by discussing the signing of midfielder Joey DeZart to his first professional contract and we also touch on the Lions’ final preseason match of 2020 and the overall record of the team this preseason. Then we’re joined by Joey himself and we chat with the rookie defensive mid about the transition to MLS, training in Mexico, and much more.

Lucas Muller from RSL Soapbox joins us next to discuss what we can expect from Real Salt Lake this weekend. Some things have changed since the teams last met but some are the same and we thank Lucas for walking us through it.

Our final segment features Orlando Pride discussion, including Ali Krieger returning to allocated player status and then we break down the many problems with the Pride’s 2020 schedule, which dropped on Tuesday. It’s going to be a rough summer for the Pride. We also touch on OCB preseason action and answer our listeners’ questions in this week’s mailbag segment.
