One of the best aspects of the internet is it's ability to shine the clarifying light of truth on fools. For decades my detractors used every trick in the book to discredit me and screamed in frustration as each attempt failed. Now they're getting really desperate; the proof being the gutter level aspersions they've been casting via YouTube, BlogTalk, and numerous chat rooms. Obviously they're too stupid to understand it doesn't hurt me in the least. And never shall.

A very dear friend of mine is laid up due to injury and asked me to do a show this evening. We saw Linda Ronstadt together thirty-one years ago and during the show I proposed to her. Rightly so she balked. Ah well, our daughter is amazing and fortunately more like her mom than me. Except in appearance; Roseanna looks like a female me.

I rarely do early morning shows but it's a glorious day outside, breakfast with my wife was great, and I'm in the mood.

To avoid the show ending eighteen minutes in due to the phone dying, today I shall attempt it via Skype.

I know it isn't autumn yet but based on the weather outside it feels like it, and this is when I begin to get most wistful. The chill in the air, the wind, the scents: all work successfully to focus my mind on those I've loved and lost.

It may not happen in my lifetime, but the natural evolution of humanity dictates that a civilized society must recognize any acceptance of myth and magic as being reality for what it is - dangerous and counter-productive.
