💗 Why I Created the Pre- and Post-Surgery Meditations for the Podcast
I’ve been part of a hysterectomy support group and have seen so many women share their fears — fear of the surgery itself, fear of recovery, fear of the unknown. It touched my heart deeply.
While reading their stories, I realized how differently I experienced my own preparation and recovery. I know much of that came from years of meditation and mindfulness, and from maintaining a steady, positive attitude even through uncertainty.
I felt guided to create something to help others who may not yet have those tools. These two meditations, one for before surgery and one for afterward, are meant to bring calm, trust, and healing to anyone facing a medical procedure.
Each meditation invites you to relax into the process, to trust your body’s wisdom, and to allow healing to unfold in its own time. They aren’t just for those having a hysterectomy, but for anyone preparing for or recovering from surgery.
If you or someone you know is facing an operation and feeling anxious, I hope these meditations can serve as a gentle companion, a reminder that peace and strength can be found even in vulnerable moments.
You can find both meditations on the podcast. I hope they bring comfort, courage, and a sense of being held in care. 🌿
