The investigators finally solve the mystery, a day late and a dollar short. Fuck you Thomas!
Fort Dukane, an old Ebon Gauntlet stronghold, sits outside of Shadow Port in ruins, long since abandoned and thought haunted. In fact, there's no reason for anyone to go there, but the adventurers find themselves obliged to explore it at the behest of Dusk, the demon-powered pixie built for war. Something lurks hidden deep under Fort Dukane, and both Dusk and the Queen of Hell want to set it free. Will the adventurers help them, or will they fight against the forces of Hell?
The cabal prepares to take on the mysterious tarot card cult the only way they know how: doing some inane shit that will somehow result in a favorable outcome! Brobert works to convince everyone he's not 80 years old, Raven meets with her old mentor, while Dr. Johnson, Chuck, and J.P. meet with an old friend. Then they try to pull a heist, and it goes about exactly as well as planned.
Apolena has gone missing, on the eve of a major heist orchestrated by the Prince of Shadows as a test of skill. One member down, things are not looking good for party; thankfully the Prince provides, and introduces the resourceful Blaze Fox (yes that is his real name) to the adventurers. With the stage set and the planning done, all that's left is for the heist of the Age; who doesn't enjoy a little Agatha Christie with their Ocean's 11?
This week the dragons of Skegness are celebrating their own local Mystic, Churly! To fully get into the spirit of things, the festival requires several special ingredients to make a very clean and healthy lotion to rub all over Churly's stone body, which the young dragons are charged with collecting. Things go exactly as planned, and nothing awful happens! Yay!
In the run up to their heist, Apolena and Hugh discuss their friendship, the events of Willow, and the rebellion in Hell against the rightful queen. Hugh reaches a decision about his future, and Apolena makes an awful, terrible, mistake.
