Stories carry power; the story of David and Goliath inspires the little guy to challenge the stronger, larger guy on the off chance they might actually win, while the story of Sleeping Beauty teaches us the perils of not inviting witches to the births of our children. In City of Mist, the players are the stories, brought to life; called Rifts, they can do amazing, mind-blowing things, though the mortals of the city refuse to recognize these wonders. Enter Olivia, Zoe, Oggie, and Duke, who are all Rifts, very unhappy with their lives, and incredibly drunk. What wonders will they bring into the world? Probably nothing good, to be honest.
