Michael Nashef has earned his B.F.A. in Metals/Jewelry Design from Kendall College of Art and Design. Throughout his career, Michael Nashef has managed a jewelry store, worked as a CAD designer, and launched his fine jewelry company Intersecting Hearts, during which he taught as an adjunct teacher, where he found his passion for teaching and academia, that led him to pursue his M.F.A. in 3D studies from Bowling Green State University. Currently Michael is the area coordinator and lecturer at Towson University in Maryland.

Hi, I’m Meera. I’m a mutt of a maker working in paints, textiles, paper, hair, wire, semi-precious stones, words, stories, and bars. I’ve done murals and sign-painting, costumes and face-painting, crowns and upholstery, hair tattoos and stick-and-pokes, joke-book editing, pirate-radio bedtime stories, and so far - one wedding dress. Guess I just want a piece of everything.

Although Liz Kantner has always had a passion for jewelry, she began her career as a Content Manager for big consumer brands. She made the switch to the jewelry industry when she had the opportunity to work as Marketing Manager for Todd Reed. During her time there she learned many aspects of the fine jewelry industry including public relations, advertising, sales and trade shows. Liz moved on to start her on consulting business, STAY GOLD and curates JA New York's New Designer Gallery as well as PREMIER, a new show launching in Vegas in 2019. Her passion for jewelry continues to grow!

Hilary Halstead Scott is the president and second generation to lead Halstead, a jewelry supply catalog and ecommerce business. Halstead supplies jewelry designers around the globe with chain, metals and findings for their studios. She is the founder of the Halstead Grant and a passionate advocate for bringing business skills to jewelers. She has an MBA, a Masters of International Management, and a lifetime of experience in the jewelry world. Together with the talented team at Halstead, Hilary works on many programs for jewelers including the Halstead Design Challenge with SNAG and other grassroots sponsorships to support the jewelry artist community at the local and regional level.

Georgina Trevino is a contemporary jeweler from Tijuana, Mexico currently living in San Diego, California. She obtained a Bachelors Degree in Applied Design with an emphasis in Jewelry Making from San Diego State University in 2014.

Her recent work is an extension of her work by paying closer attention to color pattern and shape in relation to modern architecture and contemporary art movements she is surrounded by now. She uses techniques and materials like enameling, found objects, polymer clay, powder coating,cement and other fun color techniques that relate to her cultural and architectural background.

Her work has been featured in magazines such as ELLE, Marie Claire Mexico, Allure, Pin-UP magazine, L’Officiel, Instyle, Vogue Mexico , Paper Mag. etc.. She has also been part of several international exhibitions, including SCHMUCK 2015 , The contemporary jewelry exchange and most recent exhibition curated by Smitten Collective in Belgium "Love Jewels"

Bella Neyman is the co-founder of New York City Jewelry Week. She is also an independent curator and journalist specializing in contemporary jewelry. Since graduating with a Master’s Degree in Decorative Arts and Design History from the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum & Parsons, The New School for Design in 2008, she has worked for some of New York City’s leading design galleries. For the last three years, she was the Director of New York’s only contemporary jewelry gallery. In addition to this, in 2014, along with Ruta Reifen, Bella founded Platforma, a contemporary jewelry-focused initiative whose exhibitions have been on view in the U.S. and Europe. Bella’s articles have been published in The New York Times, American Craft, and the magazine Antiques. She is also a frequent contributor Modern magazine and Metalsmith. Bella is on the Board of Art Jewelry Forum. She resides with her family in Brooklyn.

Jonathan Wahl joined 92nd Street Y in July 1999 as director of the jewelry and metalsmithing program in 92Y's School of the Arts. He is responsible for developing and overseeing a curriculum that has more than 55 classes weekly and 15 visiting artists yearly, hiring and supervising 25 faculty members, maintaining four state-of-the-art jewelry and metalsmithing studios, and promoting the department locally and nationally as a jewelry resource center.
