Blending families is messy.  Blending any type of families is going to be a practice of patience and love.  You have to be prepared for anything.  If you don't have a game plan or an open line of communication with the person you're going to do life with then you live in a state of reaction instead of proaction.  I say all the time if you're not proactive then your reactive.  THIS IS NOT A PLAN.  And will almost always go wrong.

Tough times are coming, be prepared and know that this too shall pass!!  Find you a community of friends and support (therapy, besties, etc) it really takes village, not just to raise kids but to get through life.

Well I started off strong....and honestly no excuses!!!  BUT LIFE!!!!

It happens to all of us and we can let it cripple us and enable us or we can make excuses but what we really need to do is turn the page and keep going!  Get back up and get back in.  It's your life and your dream and you can determine when and how but sometimes you just need to be reminded that you have to keep going and pushing forward.  Don't give up or give in, just keep going!!

HELLO 2024!

A new year has begun and it seems like the business just continues as we all try and set new goals and new routines, schedules, "RESOLUTIONS".  What do you do in the new year?  New Year, New You?

I decided after I set all my goals that I wasn't going with the new year, new me system.  I'm just going to keep on doing the damn thing because I know I'm constantly growing and pushing myself and I want to continue doing just that but with new goals and dreams!

This is your reminder to set some reachable goals and to also dream big and stretch yourself.  Be gentle but prepare to grow.  Find people to help hold you accountable but be choosy about who your people are.  Set boundaries and try to keep them, remember they are for you not them.

Merry Christmas Y'all!!!

Sorry I've been absent but....LIFE!!  Which is why I am here today to tell you CHILL OUT!  It's the busy season, I get it!!  No really, I GET IT!!  My laptop broke, I'm slammed at the salon, parties, presents, people...you get the point.  

However, remember the reason for the season.  Slow down.  Take a deep breath.  Give a hug. Share a kind word.  It's Jesus' birthday.  Not your kids, not your friends or family.  Yes the perfect gift is always fun and a win, but you have to not let overwhelm and perfectionism take over  and steal your JOY!!

Give yourself gratitude for the year you have accomplished and plan better for the next.   Stay tuned for what's in store for 2024!
