  • Exploring your emotions through meditation

In this week's episode, Natalie takes you on a mindful exploration of your emotions and thoughts through a guided meditation practice. The transition of Menopause, as you know, brings with it so many mixed emotions and thoughts that Lisa and Nat wanted to offer you the opportunity to connect with what you are feeling.

In our busy existence we rarely get the opportunity to explore our thoughts and feelings, (unless you have an active meditation practice) so this is an opportunity to explore emotions, where you feel them in your body, what may trigger them and also what responses or reactions these emotions generate for you.

You may be completely new to meditation and we invite you to be curious and give this practice a go. Come with an open heart and mind and be open to what might come up for you knowing that it is a very powerful way to support you and your health, every day but also at a time of great change.

If you enjoyed this meditation you can listen to other meditations by Natalie on Insight Timer.

If you have any questions or comments about this episode or meditation, feel free to send them our way. And of course, if you have a moment we would love you to leave a review.

    Thanks for listening always!

  • Menopause Symptom Series: Channeling your stress

In this week's episode, we talk stress. Sometimes just saying the word "stress" can create a stress response in our bodies. Although stress isn't a symptom, it is a contributor to symptoms and also an inhibitor to creating the healthy changes and lifestyle you need to support yourself during this phase of life.

In this episode we discuss what stress is, why it isn't always possible to stop stress around, how we can choose how we respond to stress and most importantly the role of surrendering and accepting plays in support our stress responses and perception of this phase of life.

  • Humanising women's life phases with Renee Barnes

In this week's episode we have a wonderfully beautiful conversation with HR expert Renee Barnes. Mum of two and founder of The People Paradox, Renee works with small to medium sized organisations to build their people strategy, foundations and programs that enable sustainable growth, engagement, and performance.

She founded her business because at the time she needed more flexibility in how she could turn up for work whilst still achieving her career ambitions. Renee is intimately in tune with the challenges and barriers that can be experienced during the motherhood transition.

Renee brings light to an unknown phase of life new mothers can experience, being Matrescence. Similarly to us, Renee aims to educate and empower mothers and employers to navigate the complexities of matrescence and returning to work with confidence. We also talk about Renee's experience of bringing such life phases to the workplace and how workplaces need to start humanising such life phases to ensure that women can remain in work and work with confidence.

  • Giving yourself permission, unapologetically

In this week's episode, Lisa and Nat have a candid conversation about giving ourselves permission to make the decisions you need to make to support your health, wellbeing overall life particularly during pivotal life phases.

One key decision that many women grapple with is whether to take MHT or not. Unfortunately, the decision fatigue over this is really contribute to women's angst at a time when they are navigating so much change.

During this episode, Lisa shares her own personal story of choosing to start on MHT after she too spent much time deliberating over it. You'll hear from Lisa's experience that she realised it was the missing piece of the puzzle for her in conjunction with the lifestyle strategies she does and follows.

Lisa and Nat want to remind you that when you are seeking any medical or health advice that you should always consult with a specialist or doctor.

In this episode, Lisa and Nat refer to the conversations they had with Dr Fatima Khan, they are: Let's Talk Menopause Hormone Therapy and An Empowered Menopause
