Phenomenal Spotlight W/Mr. Short: Artfully Teaching The Science of Reading

In today’s spotlight, I spoke with the authors of Artfully Teaching The Science of Reading–Chase Young, Tim Rasinski , and David Paige.

Chase Young is Professor in the School of Teaching and Learning at Sam Houston State University. He is editor of Literacy Research and Instruction and founding editor of Journal of Teacher Action Research.

David Paige is Professor of Literacy at Northern Illinois University and Director of the Jerry L. Johns Literacy Clinic.

Timothy Rasinski is Professor of Literacy Education at Kent State University. Recently, he was identified among the top two percent scientists in the world.

In the spotlight, we discussed what the Science of Reading is to them, its components and why they wrote “Artfully Teaching The Science of Reading.”
