Parking rates at meters in San Francisco could go as high as 8 dollars an hour under a plan officials are considering.The new system would charge drivers more when parking is tight, and less when more spaces are available. KCBS, KPIX-5, and Chronicle Insider Phil Matier says in some parts of San Francisco parking meters cost $7 an hour already.
