Phil Mickelson at the age of 50 has won his sixth Major Championship at The US Pga Championships hosted at Kiawah Island on the Ocean Course. Putting on a spectacle for the week Phil showed his class as he held off challenges from Brooks Koepka and Louis Oosthuizen, to join the likes of Lee Trevino and Nick Faldo to claim his 6th Major title.

From an Irish perspective it was a successful week also, with Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington and Ryder Cup hopeful Shane Lowry finishing T4 at -2, that is two strong results in Majors this year for Shane who needs to continue this form if he wants to be on the team bus to Whistling Straits in September.

Jonny & Dave played at Powerscourt GC on the weekend and it was great to be back out together, Jonny is undergoing some swing changes with Mark O'Mahony so the lads unpack their round on Sunday.

The Challenge Tour has landed in Ireland with the Irish Challenge taking place at Portmarnock Links, there is a significant Irish contingent so don't be surprised if a local claims victory this week.
