- School officials in Deptford Township publicly spoke for the first time since a controversial decision over school busing was rescinded, which brought a lot of relief to parents ahead of the upcoming school year.
- Authorities have charged two men in connection with a shooting on a South Philly street filled with dog walkers and families. One woman was struck and a dog was killed.
- A Bucks County judge had harsh words for the West Rockhill parents of seven children who were severely neglected, as she sentenced each of them to at least eight years in state prison.
- Tuesday was the first move-in day for new students at Temple University. And this year, in addition to the incoming freshmen, Temple is making a new home for about 300 University of the Arts students who were displaced when their school abruptly closed last spring.
