Philadelphia authorities have identified the man who died after shooting himself during an hours-long standoff with police in the Logan neighborhood last month.
It was around 8:45 on the night of September 21st when police say 54-year-old James Harris shot at 36-year-old Officer Rafael Abreu-Santana and his partner when they arrived at a home on North 10th Street near Lindsey Avenue.
Santana fired back and called for help, leading to a police barricade.
Harris was eventually found dead on the second floor from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound several hours later.
A woman who jumped out a window was also treated for a gunshot wound. Police say she was shot by Harris.
Neither officer was hurt.
