Former Municipal Court Judge Pat Dugan says he will be running as a Republican in the November general election for District Attorney.

Dugan, who lost the Democratic primary in May to incumbent Larry Krasner, can appear on the ballot as a Republican because he received 6,000 write-in votes during the primary to qualify to run.

Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro will be in Philly Sunday afternoon at SEPTA headquarters, calling for state lawmakers to pass a bill that funds SEPTA and avoids dramatic service cuts that are set to take effect in just 2 weeks.

Former municipal court judge Pat Dugan announced this afternoon (Saturday) that he will be running as a candidate for District attorney on the GOP ticket in the November general election.

Dugan, lost to incumbent Larry Krasner in May's Democratic primary....

He's allowed to run as a Republican because of the number of write in votes according to a statement from his campaign.

Police have released the name of a second suspect wanted in connection with the July 7th shooting that killed three people and injured nine others in Grays Ferry.

Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore says he may be one of SEVERAL SUSPECTS...

A man is dead following a shooting last (FRI) night in the city's Lawncrest section.

It happened around 11:45 on the 500 block of Alcott Street, near Rising Sun Avenue.

Police tell our partners at NBC-10 that three armed men got out of a white Jeep Grand Cherokee and opened fire, hitting one man in the chest.

He was taken to Einstein Medical Center, where he died minutes later.

Police are also investigating a possible connection with another shooting hours earlier — that also involved a white Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Parents could be on the hook for their kids' bad behavior in one part of Camden County.

Officials in Gloucester Township have approved new regulations that impose fines or even jail time on parents for failing to prevent their children from breaking the law.

The Minors and Parents Responsibility Ordinance lists 28 offenses -- everything from felonies to things like loitering and skipping school.

It comes after chaos at last year's Gloucester Township Day, where kids were among the dozen people arrested after fights broke out. This year's festival was cancelled.

A new law took effect in Philadelphia, this summer, that imposes stiff fines for having dogs in animal-free parks or letting them off-leash anywhere but designated dog parks.
