Written by Bill Evans in "Kind of Blue"'s liner notes, a sentence beginning with "There is a Japanese visual art in which the artist is forced to be spontaneous." It says something that leads to improvisation, in which the idea was directly expressed in a picture drawn by using brush with black water on a Japanese paper. There is this word somewhere in my heart all the time.

There is a painting technique to copy a pattern that can be drawn on a quiet water surface. Choosing an appropriate texture such as Japanese paper sometimes shows beauty beyond imagination. Even if they are similar they can never do the same thing. As it is natural, as it is, calm and gentle painting. Is it the same concept as my music creation? I want to proceed to the world ahead.

It is difficult to keep thinking and keep doing one thing over a long period of time. Although you can do what you need to live like sleeping and eating, it is difficult to just keep on thinking that you want to do things you do not have to do. In that sense, I thank myself that I was able to set up and start an adventure over a period of more than 10 years five years ago.

Hearing is important, but vision is also important. There is the power to directly control feelings, not logic. Mammals prosper as a result by acquiring excellent hearing and vision in the process of evolution, obtaining the ability to quickly sense the danger and escape. Looking for the safest and happy moment on that sharp hearing and vision. That would be the real secret of this creative journey.

It is not a photo. After all it is a painting. Once taken into oneself and put out as an expression. The print artist Master Shikou Munakata, who was not good at sketching, thought this when he saw the Van Gogh painting. “To output as an expression”. I understand all the things I have received from this world, understand the essence, and express my own world with the flow of small and small piano sounds.
