David Wheeler is the owner and founder of BOWLeD LIFe, a food truck and cafe located in Manatee County Florida. David is a veteran of the entrepreneurial community with a background in business, finance and credit education. Small business and great customer service is his life! This passion and desire to fill a need has led to David’s latest adventure, BOWLed LIFe (a food truck with a healthy twist).

Jen Sekel owns and operates AMI Health & Fitness, located in Holmes Beach. Jen is an AFFA, NASM and ISFTA Certified Personal Trainer as well and a Licensed Massage Therapist, specializing in Neuromuscular Therapies, Athletic Injury and Sports Massage. Jen has been a Small Business owner in our community for nearly fifteen years. She has focused her career on helping other heal and gain strength.

Jen has recently created a “Lift Local” movement, encouraging people to support locally owned fitness centers within our community as well as nationally. She also encourages local gym owners to support one another and believes that with the support from each other as well as the community, locally owned fitness centers will continue to be a strong part of our local small business.

Jen is also a proud wife, and mother of three children! Cameron, 19, a freshman at Santa Fe College in Gainesville FL, Jadelynn, 17, a sophomore at Bradenton Christian School and Jordon, 13, in 7th grade at Bradenton Christian School. Jens husband Brian and three children, create a strong support system and share in her mission of helping others, through support, guidance and encouragement, to achieve health and success.

Key Fitch is the CEO/owner of Key 2 Life Training AKA The Pink Powerhouse, Manatee County’s premiere ALL FEMALE fully equipped training & cycling facility.  Her studio has been named The Best in Bradenton in Education for the last 4 years, was 2018 Manasota Black Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year, and is recognized by Manatee Chamber of Commerce’s Better Business Council.   The Pink Powerhouse specializes in weight loss, personal & group training, cycling & athletic/sports conditioning.  Key is a chemical engineer by training, but has truly found her calling by helping transform the lives of women through diet, fitness & education for over 19 years.  She has certifications as a personal trainer, sports nutritionist, running coach, seniors fitness instructor, spin instructor & group fitness instructor. She is a also 3x TEAM USA duathlete & won the bronze medal in the 2015 national USAT duathlon championship.  She is also mom to three amazing sons, ages 24, 17, & 15.

Dominique Vonador, AP is a NCCAOM Board Certified Acupuncture Physician. She is a self-motivated and multi-tasked Master Degreed Acupuncture Professional with extensive applied medical training and industry exposure in Traditional Chinese Medical Theory. She has demonstrated a history of successful patient care and treatment administration while formulating pragmatic and effective solutions in critical and fast paced environments. Dr. Vonador is also detail-oriented and organized, exemplifying professionalism and exhibiting strong interpersonal skills.
Dr. Vonador likes to think of herself as being athletic; waking at 5:30 in the morning to run 2 miles and then end with a little weight lifting is an average Monday morning for her. She ran track and field in college at Florida State University, graduating with her Bachelor's degree in Biology. While working at the local hospital, she became distraught at the level of care the patients received, with medication allotments being the major course of treatment. From then on she knew there had to be an adjunctive therapy treatment option that was less painful, easy for the patient, but very efficient. Acupuncture proved to be the answer. Now, here she is 9 years later, continuously making a difference in the community with Oriental Medicine with two offices located in Bradenton and Allentown.

Dr. Maria Carlton is a chiropractor in Wauchula, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor degree in Health Science and from Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California. Karen Chambers was a Registered Dental Assistant until her move from the snow-capped Rocky Mountains of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to the sandy beaches of Bradenton, Florida. Karen holds both Personal Trainer and Exercise Therapy Certifications. Karen’s first experience with Reiki was in Calgary when a friend gifted her a session, having more of a science background she did not know what to expect. Relaxation and peace. After she moved to Bradenton, Karen found herself working at Aluna Wellness on Anna Maria Island amongst amazing healers. It was here that she begin her Reiki journey. Once she completed the Level 1 and 2 Reike requirements, she decided that she wanted to teach Reiki. the next step to be become a Relke master one has to do 100 volunteer hours, along with the teachings of a R forekie Master, Karen chose the Humane Society where she goes every week to do Reike on the shelter animals. In 2017 Karen became a Reiki master/teacher in Usui Reiki traditions, and leads private and group meditations. She offers Reiki classes for those interested in learning this ancient art of healing to help them achieve a sense of balance and wellness in their daily lives. She now continues to work with both human and animal clients. She enjoys teaching others how to empower themselves to make positive changes in their lives. It is difficult to explain the various healing modalities, so as practitioners as herself says “you have to experience it for yourself”.

Dawn Morrison was born and raised in Manatee County, FL. She is the owner of a clean eating business called ‘Power Meals by Dawn’. Prior to her latest business adventure, she worked many years in corporate management in retail. She has always been a fitness enthusiast and has made health and exercise a priority in her life. And although she had the fitness aspect down, she admits to falling off periodically with the nutrition (as many people do). She says it wasn’t until she joined Crossfit Havoc in Palmetto that she was able to learn about the Paleo Lifestyle. Then, shortly thereafter she also realized the importance of “meal prepping” with keeping her consistent with clean eating. It was from meal prepping for herself and some of her fellow gym friends that she stumbled across her business. She quickly realized that the demand for clean meals exceeded her capabilities at her house and she knew it was time to get a dedicated location. The response to Power Meals By Dawn has been phenomenal. and the satisfaction that Dawn gets from educating and helping her customers make healthy decisions has been very rewarding for her personally and professionally.

Kelly Winton is a Florida native, born in Tampa, FL. After spending almost 20 years in P&C insurance/corporate risk management in Tampa and then Chicago, Kelly moved back to the Bradenton area in 2012 and began a new path in life teaching group fitness classes.

Kelly was the first fitness instructor to bring BANG™ to Florida in 2016. BANG™ is one of two of the current fitness formats from Freedom Group Exercise, which was founded in 2015 and is now in 4 countries and 18 states (and growing rapidly). Kelly is now a master trainer for FGE for FL. She also teaches Freedom Barre ® and will be adding Freedom Stomp™ to her classes in 2019.

Kelly has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Her youngest daughter Joie is 12 years old and is a homeschooler and Kelly and her husband Charlie own a residential construction business together in Bradenton.

Mike Marquez was Born and raised in Peru. He came to the US at the age of 15 and has lived her for over 18 year. He attended & graduated from Manatee High School, worked several jobs, ranging from cleaning offices and classrooms, to cooking and waiting tables.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Mike had apirations of becoming a medical doctor, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, but he was in search of finding that career path that met his skills and interests. And it was until he ironically got into a had car accident, that he stumbled upon what would be his profession. It was from dealing with and learning from his cirumstances surrounding his accident, that he decided to become more educated and become licensed to sell insurance and eventually open his own business, MAR/KIS Insurance Agency.

Amber Duncan is a woman of many hats. She is a wife to Ryan, mother to 5 amazing children and an entrepreneur. She has a strong commitment to empower woman across the nation with her “Get it Done” attitude. Her latest venture Jackie, is a lifestyle clothing box subscription company that allows her to connect to women in every walk of life. Her goal is to show women anything is possible, It is a mindset and anyone is capable of anything. Amber started with nothing and created the life she had dreamed of and has been so blessed to help others do the same. She finds empowering others more rewarding than creating her own businesses. The idea of sitting and listening to someone with a vision and passion and helping to create a plan for them to execute is amazing to her. Amber says everyone has a 100 reasons why they cannot achieve something….but she will sit and show them how to achieve it. Her relationship with God and His continued hand on her life is who she credits for any and all her sucesses. It has not been easy but it is worth every risk, adventure, and all the pain that goes along with it
