They initially hoped for a small crowd of about 15 to 16 people, but word spread quickly, and the gig sold out. Despite the unexpected turnout, Laurence found the experience enjoyable, writing songs for a fake band and witnessing the excitement around it. Pipeman shares his own stories of bands performing under pseudonyms, like Soft White Underbelly, who turned out to be Blue Öyster Cult, and an Iron Maiden cover band that fooled the audience.
