Boarderlands comes to Sea of Thieves in the short limited time event until Sept. 7th. Yet again we see the creative spark of Rare non existent as they just reuse and recycle tasks from the past with no connection to Mayhem or Boarderlands. I go through each challenge and discuss which challenges are good for this event, which ones need to go, which ones need tweaked AND provide some creative new challenges that should have been a part of this event.

In this episode I look at the highlights of what I feel is the best Quality of Life update Sea of Thieves has ever done. I go through all the top fixes and changes, look at the new BEAUTIFUL cosmetics and dive into what I think is coming next for QoL updates in the future.

Though we don't have access to actual XBox stats on the player base, we do have insight into how many players have played Sea of Thieves. I dive into the XBox achievement data and take the numbers reported by Sea of Thieves's website and do the math to find out how many actual players there have been in Sea of Thieves vs how many accounts have just logged in 1 time. We also look at the Pirate's Life update, how many players have played through the new story. It is quite telling when you actually do the math.

In this episode I look at the current state of dry content on the seas along with the broken promises Rare made us before Season 1. Then I go to the community and look at an outstanding post on Reddit which discusses the "tools not rules" concept which many content creators forget when they are streaming the game. I close out the show with some hilarious tweets from members of PhuzzyBonds community.

In honor of the Olympics, Sea of Thieves has launched the Plunder Games. I discuss my opinion and the larger community's feedback on this event and why Rare has yet again let players down.

In this episode I look at the most recent patch notes and go over the highlights. I think take a walk down memory lane and look at Legacy content which has been in the game for a long time and my ideas to bring it up to the "Pirate's Life" standard. The most recent update has set a new standard for where rewards and content in Sea of Thieves is, and there is A LOT in this game which doesn't meet that standard.

I go through each of the new Tall Tales and discuss my thoughts on what happened and how the story flowed and how it plays with the rest of the SoT story. Though the over all design of these were beautifully on an artistic from there was ALOT to be desired in connection.

Pirates of the Caribbean is here! In this episode I want to look at the final e3 showcase video and then dive into what I felt was Rare's greatest success in this update. Though I won't be diving into specifics on each of the tall tales out of respect for those who have not had the time to complete them yet and want to avoid spoilers, I will be discussing some bits and pieces of them to make my points. Overall I felt Rare executed an beautiful new story for us but there were some major issues and disconnections between the 2 IPs.

Though I have my reservations of the recently announced SoT and Disney Partnership, there are a lot of positive and amazing things we saw in the E3 and Game play trailers. In this episode I go through the history of SoT and it's honoring of PotC then we dive into what we saw at E3. I leave you with my caution that we should have based on Disney's partnership with other game developers and how Rare seems to be moving on and not addressing the Elephant in the room, Bugs\Exploits.
