In this episode I revisit the Official Sea of Thieves Podcast and point out the blatant lie Rare tells us regarding the Halo infinite launch and the Cosmetics coming for it. We look at the Madrinas coffee in game promo partnership and the Thanksgiving event and how Rare's choice on event tasks encourages the same toxic behavior they claim to be trying to get out of Sea of Thieves. With all the issues Rare has, they are an Industry leader in many regards. One of these leading initiatives is Sea of Thieves is being designed and built for anyone regardless of exceptionality or disability. It is fantastic and I discuss the recent Sea of Thieves Podcast and the accessibility culture Sea of Thieves has to make sure their game is playable by all.

I continue the discussion about player experience through Rare's messaging. I also reveal an experiment I did with the current event and how horrible my experience was but how BROKEN Alliance Servers are. I argue Rare is turning Sea of Thieve's into an adventure game with ships, instead of a pirate game and I explain how their updates, content and events show this. I provide suggestions on how Sea of Thieves needs to change course to bring Pirates back into the game and leave the Alliances behind.

Let's discuss player experience. I often forget about new players as I haven't been one for some time. In this episode I look at both new and veteran player experience and how Rare is effecting it through a wheel that keeps turning regardless of how many people come in or jump ship. How can we break the wheel and build a great player experience for new and existing players for the next 5+ years?

I talk about my personal play experience of Season 4 and where I feel the strengths and weaknesses of this Season are. I go through the news, including Twitch Drops and new Spooky Emporium items to get your ready for Halloween! I then look at what the community has been saying about Season 4. Surprisingly I disagree with the fire and torch approach I'm seeing on Social Media, and though it has a base, it isn't as bad as they say. The issue causing this outcry is coming from another source, and I'll tell you what that is.

Captain Falcore, a content pillar of the Sea of Thieves Community released a video on Sept 14th introducing a new concept "Expeditions" which would be a way for Rare to expand the map while still supporting old hardware like the XBOX one. I discuss a bounty system which would add some interesting player interactions.

In this episode I discuss one of the best systems Sea of Thieves has, the Emissary system. Since it was launched over a year ago, it hasn't had the best impact; however with some changes it could take the next step in being an amazing system of risk vs reward and really encourage interesting and fun player interactions.
