President Biden's making a campaign stop in Downtown Pittsburgh today. He'll speak at the United Steel Workers headquarters. His message is expected to focus on protecting America's steel and shipbuilding industries. Expect rolling closures on the inbound Parkway West between 12:15 and 12:45 and then in the outbound lanes from 3:45 to4:15.

TSA officers stopped two guns in four days at Pittsburgh International Airport. This morning, a man from Franklin brought a loaded handgun to a checkpoint and last Friday an Ohio man was caught with a .38 caliber pistol in his belongings. That brings the number of guns confiscated by Allegheny County Police so far this year to 11.

No let up from rain after a record-setting 2.77 inches flooded several communities and closed dozens of roads. AccuWeather's Dean DeVore says more is on the way today:

Political opposition to Nippon Steel's bid to takeover U.S. Steel is building as Japan's prime minister addresses a joint session of Congress today. Representative Chris Deluzio has a number of objections:

The takeover is under review by the Committee on Foreign Investment. Deluzio has invited US Steel worker Rob Jones to be his guest at today's joint session.

Two men are facing dozens of charges, accused of torturing a 60-year-old man for several hours during a home invasion and robbery in Sewickley. Allegheny County Police say the crime started late Sunday at a home on Little Street. Dylan Morris and Noah Sadowski allegedly ambushed the man on his back porch, gagged and handcuffed him, taped his eyes shut, jabbed him with knives, punched and pistol-whipped him. The pair is accused of forcing the victim to give them his CashApp code and stole an antique clock before they left. Morris and Sadowski are charged numerous felonies including robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping.

Norfolk Southern has an agreement to pay $600 million to settle a class-action lawsuit over the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. The company announced today the deal resolves all class action claims within a 20-mile radius of the derailment and personal injury claims in a 10-mile radius. The railroad says the settlement doesn’t include an admission of liability, wrongdoing or fault. A U.S. District Court is expected to get the agreement in April and if approved payments could begin by the end of the year.

[Pittsburgh officials have closed off  public parks and trails. The Lower Allegheny Riverfront Park along the 10th Street bypass, The Northshore Riverfront Park, and The Mon Wharf Bike Connector.  Point State Park in downtown Pittsburgh has risen high enough to flood the fountain.
