A $6 million renovation project funded by a Lehman Brothers (a bank that failed) led to the loss of  $77M in assets for John Laine.  John's partner disappeared and John lost everything, but he is back and stronger for it.  He had even been ready to jump off a rooftop a couple times, but his commitment to make his investors whole has driven him to now, 14 -years later, almost all are paid back.  John gained tremendous experience and knowledge going through his ordeal and he shares his experience and investment thesis, advocating for a hyper-conservative approach to real estate in the face of impending economic volatility, while also striving to help others build a better financial future.
