Today’s podcast is based on the song “He is Here”, by Kirk Talley and sung by the Gaither Vocal Band.

We’ve all had them. Those moments that seem to define the direction our lives will go from that point on.  I call them, defining moments.  You know what I’m talking about, right? 

“I will confess somedays - I feel forgotten. Seems like you’re hiding your face from me...” 

Those are some of the words from our song and our scripture today. Ones that probably describe what each one of us have felt at one time or another.

Of course the context of those words are a confession addressed to God.  Have you ever felt like God has forgotten you?  Have you ever felt he was intentionally hiding his face from you?  Keep listening, I don’t think you’re alone.

Today’s song of focus, is entitled, “Goodness of God” by Jenn Johnson/ Jason Ingram/ Ben Fielding/ Ed Cash and Brian Johnson.  

I think we all will agree that overwhelm is inevitable at one time or another in a person’s life.  So why not, instead, be overwhelmed in the Goodness of God?  You have to admit, that's a good kind of overwhelm to have, especially when you can't see much goodness in the world around you.  

Are you in a battle you feel like you’re losing today?  Do you feel surrounded by the enemy with no place to turn? 

You’re not alone my friend.  Welcome to the reality of this world and the war that is raging between good and evil.

In this newest episode of the “Place of Worship” podcast, we’re going to discuss just what’s in a name.  Well, at least a name that can change anything, or everything, if we use it correctly.  This is a name that is never usually mispelled or misprounounced, but can often times be misused.  Or even worse - not used at all!
