The statics will say that 1 in 8Ā men will be diagnosed with Prostate cancer in there life.
If you have a history of prostate cancer in you're family - the risk goes up to a 1 in 4 chance.
Our guest today was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer at the age of just 49.
He was then given the news that he was expected to live for just 2 more years.
The cold reality of leaving behind his wife and three children began to set in, but instead of staying there, he decided to live each day to the fullest.
Since his diagnoses in 2014, he has gone on to run several marathons, ultra marathons and has completed the toughest foot race on the planet - the Marathon de Sables a record 4 times.
He was getting ready to tackle his 5th when covid struck..so what did he do? Well he trained for it⦠so he completed it by running around his front and back garden until he achieved the equivalent distance!
He has since raised more then Ā£500k for Prostate Cancer UK - has helped raise a hugeĀ amount of awareness - and is about to release his book āDead Man Runningā

Support the showRunning a marathon is a huge undertaking.
It requires months of preparation , hardwork and commitment.
For some they may consider going on to complete a duathlon or maybe even stretch to a triathlon.
Most notably a full distance iron man.
The task at hand is so taxing, that some participants reward themselves by having the āiron manā race event logo tattooed on them!
An iron man triathlon, is a 2.4 mile swim, followed immediately by a 112 mile bike cycle followed immediately by a 26.22 mile marathon run.
Most participants will complete this anywhere from 15 hours +.
But imagine doing this ,again and again and again and again, day after day, with no rest days.
Doing this for 50 consecutive daysā¦
The moment you have finished your triathlon, your getting into your RV with your wife, and five children (which are aged between 6-12 years old) to drive through the night to the next state in America, to restart and go againā¦
Well this is what the iron cowboy did, James Lawrence has completely re written the script for what we as human beings believed to be physically possible for the human potential.
Most recently, he completed 101 iron man distance triathlons in 101 consecutive days.
What mindset does it take?
Hoe important are goals?
How important is it to surround yourself with the correct people?
All questions we are about to find the answers tooā¦

Hypnotherapy.
Any act that can enhance a mind, body and soul connection, will always receive my full support.
Previously I have had the pleasure of speaking with award winning hypnotherapist Glenn Harrold, so when the opportunity arose to speak with Lee Harrold, it was a no brainer that this conversation had to happen.
Lee is an accomplished hypnotherapist and in this episode we discuss his route into hypnotherapy, his early life, and the plans for the future.

Counselling.
Thankfully the world is starting to tune in more and more with the benefits of this profession.
The long running stigma of 'talking to people is weak' is slowly starting to melt away.
In this episode I talk to David Pope

David, lost both of his parents at the age of 25.
Along the way he has picked up some incredible tools and skills to help not only himself, but is clients in overcoming anxiety,Ā depression and bereavement.

Mental health can be such an unknown for so many.Ā
š¤But what if you were only diagnosed with Bipolar atĀ 33 years old?Ā
š¤And what if you then found out a month later that you were pregnant ?Ā
š¤And what if you then had a psychotic episode whilst in labour as a result of the gas and air?Ā
š¤And what if one day it all got too much that you found yourself standing at a train track contemplating your life?
š¤And what if you then had your daughter taken away from you?
We all go through hurdles in life... but we never know how big or how many we are going to come up against, and we certainly cannot tell how many someone else has had to go through?
This is a POWERFUL episode and an incredibly eye opening story.

āNever judge a person until you have walked a mile in their shoesā
Bipolar, typically comes with a stereotypical negative portrayal.
The reality is, Bipolar does not define a person.
Having the chance to speak with the amazing @bipolar.and.beautiful really helped to open my eyes on this mental health condition.
Diagnosed on her 20th birthday, Chloe opened up about her experiences with Bipolar type 2.
The highs and the lows, from symptoms to medication to therapy to family to partners, we discussed the lot.
Chloe is now finishing her masters degree in psychology and is a black belt in taekwondo š„Ā
